***CSUF FALL 2018 DECISIONS***

I am trying to check my application status but it says the server is down. Is anyone having this problem?

Actually, never mind. There is a system maintenance.

What does distinction mean?

is it weird that I haven’t heard anything form the college

Stats;
GPA; 3.59
SAT; 1060
Major; Entertainment Art
Local: Yes

@poconoboy:

ADMISSION WITH DISTINCTION
“Admission with Distinction” is awarded to a freshman or transfer student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in past academic work. For first-time freshmen with no previous college units earned, a grade point average of 3.50 on a four-point scale must be earned in the coursework considered for admission to the university. Students who have completed fewer than 60 transferable semester units of credit must meet the grade point average for first-time freshmen and must also have earned a 3.5 grade point average on all transferable college work attempted. Students who have completed 60 or more transferable semester units are eligible, if a grade point average of 3.5 is earned in all transferable college work completed.

@finnagotocollege

My Daughter has
3.52
1180
Local status and haven’t heard and its normal

And I also think it is based on major.

Has anyone heard back for a major in the health/human development department?

If anyone is interested in being admitted to the nursing program, here is a quote from the CSUF SON website regarding nursing admissions this year:
“For Fall 2018 admission, the Nursing program will waitlist all top qualified applicants. Admission will be offered to the top 20-30 students from the waitlist pool.”

Nursing Major Here. no official offer but my application shows as complete and a prompt to accept/deny admission is on my student portal.

any thoughts on what it means? or is this thing normal for pending decisions?

@novicenugget

Pending Decision is normal. Expect Applicants to receive notice (Accept / Decline/ Wait listed ) over the next week (or 2) starting in waves and continuing into March, with Wait listed pushing into April.

Local status Eligibility Index-3600 (minimum)
Non Local Eligibility Index -3800 (minimum)

*Based on latest CSUF data released

@novicenugget Don’t think it means anything unless your portal shows accepted yet. It has been there for me since I initiated my portal. But best of luck!

It showed up for me a few days ago.
Preparing for the worst though :slight_smile:

I haven’t gotten anything yet??? I’ve sent my transcript a month ago and it is still on my to-do list. Should I contact the admissions department?

Do you have any info on Cal Poly Pomona and what their EI will be???

@CaliStudent101: Cal Poly Pomona does not state any EI thresholds but around a 3800+ for most majors other than the highly impacted majors is a good rule of thumb.

So 3836 out of 10 how are my chances?

Got an acceptance from Cal Poly Pomona on the 15th! My major is Business Administration and gpa is 3.0

What is your SAT Score!
