I applied on December 2nd and have yet to get a response. When I call CUNY all it says is that my application is under review but it’s been 3 months. What should I do?
Call the hotline and check if a decision had been made by a specific college. I called mine after my status updated and it says that my first choice (baruch) had already made a decision. 1 week later, i got my acceptance email from baruch.
Has anyone gotten accepted to John Jay?
When I call the hotline the machine asks me for my social security number or my Cuny id number. But since I’m international applicant I don’t have any ss number, and I don’t know what that Cuny id number is. Besides, my portal doesn’t say anything yet. I’m so nervous.
My portal just changed to complete being sent out just recently, and I got an rejection email from Hunter about a week ago, so this week should be the final week
@cuchito I wish i knew anything. My portal has been blank for 3 weeks now!
@JetLol97 same for me! This misinformation is so so bad.
@JetLol97 @cuchito Please don’t stress out so much, guys. The CUNY system is very unorganized even with it’s domestic students, I couldn’t imagine international. I have gotten my decision from 5 out of my 6 CUNY’s and when I call the hotline, it STILL says my application is currently under review.
@Mdelga11 Have you called the hotline and spoke to anyone? When I call, it says my application is under review (portal says the schools have made their decisions already) so I think I might try that soon.
When I call they just say my application is complete and under review, my CUNY portal still says
“The status below reflects your application for the Fall 2016 semester.” I haven’t gotten any emails from any school just the spam emails from Baruch but I think everyone gets those so I’m starting to freak out
@midnightluna I’d suggest calling each school individually. I called CSI earlier and they told me I was accepted. When I called city college, they said my application was still being reviewed even though the portal says all of the schools I applied to made their decision…
@Btbran I didn’t know you could do that. Do you just talk to the operator and give them your info and they tell you if you’re accepted or not?
@midnightluna Yeah, they both asked for my info and let me know what the status was showing. I’m gonna try to call the other schools I applied to tomorrow and see if they let me know if I was accepted or not.

Hi, I am new here and am anxiously waiting for my admission decision. I did my freshman year in a foreign country whose transcript I sent to cuny with all other supplements. I applied in november and sent all the documnents in december. I called cuny in beginning of march to ask about my application status and they say my foreign transcript is missing the next day I sent it to them again. I call cuny hotline and it says my application is under revier and on cuny portal it says the following reflects your status for fall 2016 application. I call individual colleges and they say that my application is still processing.
What should I do? I have not heard from a single school yet. I just hope that I recieve all the decisions before may first as it is the deadline for committing to a college.
I went to my cuny first, I am transferring from Kingsborough and I checked my Aid status and it updated 2017 Hunter college. I think I got in even though I haven’t received a letter. Those of you that are transfers should check your cuny first
Will I am same as you except the aid part. I’ve only got 1 notification and its from my first choice hunter so I’m wondering if I got accepted, these emails are so late
I called some of the schools JJ and Queens both said my application is still being reviewed, Hunter wasn’t available, and Baruch just had a voice machine saying check online 
The lady at JJ said I should hear within the next 2 weeks so I guess I’ll wait a couple of days before trying again

I did ^^! I just visited the other day~ I went to one of the admissions people to ask about my application…she said I was approved but I have to hear from my 1st choice first (which is Queens) ;-; Then they said Queens sent me a letter a month ago, but I never got it
