I got into all 6 of my choices (Baruch, Hunter, City, Queens, John Jay, Medgar Evers), and now I’m waiting for my financial aid to all come together. You should get an email soon telling you that the TAP application has been processed and you should be able to check your award. I got the max amount for both Pell and TAP.
@cuchito I asked them to check my application status.Email adresses are written on their official websites.
@motorollaz do you think I can still apply for financial aid?
@motorollaz Is Pell and TAP separate? I got the email for my TAP today.
@Adina23 What did you write in your email, I’m not sure if I want to put my private info like my SSN in the email
My portal finally updated. It says that a decision has been made by the colleges but no emails yet
@JetLol97 I checked my portal and it says Your application is complete.
An admissions decision has been made by the college(s) listed on your application.
You will receive notification from all college choices shortly. but when I call it still says it’s under review, I’m just happy to see an update, hopefully we’ll be emailed soon
My portal says the same thing. But I tried sending emails to the respective colleges and only got an actual response from Baruch that said my CUNY application has both freshman and transfer applications. And I have no idea why, since I didn’t even apply for a transfer application. CCNY replied by asking me to call them, which I don’t want to because I’m in Singapore and don’t wanna pay so much for a call. They are taking way to long with the reviews in my opinion. I’m even considering giving up, even though CUNY is the last hope I have. $65 for nothing
Mine is still blank.
ugh, it sucks that they’re taking so long to get back to you guys. Honestly, it sounds like complete chaos, while me and others at my school back have heard back from the CUNY’s there are still people at my school who haven’t even heard anything back from them, which is sucky because you guys still have to take the placement tests and pay your deposit, etc. I wish you guys much luck and I hope all of you guys who are waiting hear back very soon. You guys aren’t the only ones, from what I’ve heard CUNY is known to be a little disorganized
They are indeed very disorganized, I have a lot more to do because I have to disrupt my army service and need that acceptance letter to do it. And the deadline is coming soon. Plus visas, accommodation, flights and other stuff.
I at seton hall, pace, Rutgers and baruch for the MBA program, I got accepted in seton hall in less than a week, they are very organized and helpful. Pace, I applied first week of april and only last week my portal status changed to decision has been made, so waiting for their email (i’m an international student, so the decision comes by email)
Baruch is a different story, sent them everything by end of January, submitted my application by February 27th, was only pending TOEFL, till last week my portal shows that they received nothing, after a lot of international phone calls, only yesterday I received an email for an interview.
although baruch is my top choice, but honestly the process is taking FOREVER, I still need to work on my visa papers, and sort out all my belongings here before I move to the US for my graduate school. not sure if it is worth the wait anymore.
guys your thoughts about Pace and Seton Hall, I heard seton hall is by far more reputable than pace and has a better ranking too. but pace is stronger when it comes to internships and ofcourse the location in NY is a plus! I am really confused here
@iabffus Well, I’m really biased towards New York, I just love everything about it, so I support anything in NY
Somewhere else we could apply now? Because like @iabffus said I don’t know if waiting this much is worth it.
I’m starting to get a little concerned. I’m a second degree student (treated like a transfer applicant for the purposes of the admission process) and I applied to City College and Hunter College back in January. MyPortal changed to say a decision has been made, but it changed over 2 weeks ago now. When I call the hotline it only says a decision has been made by Hunter college. Does anybody know what that means?
I called city and hunter this morning. The representative at city was really rude and unhelpful. She seemed very uninterested in speaking to me. She said that they don’t have my transcripts, which I had sent in February and have been confirmed by CUNY that they’ve been received. When I asked if she could check with them, she said that they don’t do that. More or less, she did not want to help. So I looked at the email directory and sent an email to an admission staff on my circumstances. My call to hunter was transferred to an admission rep but then to voicemail. So I dropped him an email too. Honestly, their system is very dysfunctional. Kinda makes me think twice if they’re actually a good school to attend
So we are in the same situation, Rutgers sent me an email for an interview tho, unlike Baruch, the interview is this week. Have to say again, seton hall is very organized and thier staff is helpful compared to the others.
Cuchito, try seton hall or pace, they were fast…pace made thier decision in only 10 days, that’s as per my portal. Haven’t recieved anything from their end.
Seton hall sent me thier acceptance letter only 3 days after I submitted my application
I finally got accepted in City collarge today as an international student but I have a question. Does city college send an acceptance letter by mail? And do they send the application for the i-20? Or do you have to get it all online?
So I called and emailed Hunter and they replied saying that the acceptances will go out in 2 weeks, but today I got an email inviting me to the Hunter accepted students community. Does that mean I’m in?
@TPD1988 you got accepted.
