After the 5 week ENG 100 class ends, we have our choice of any extension courses we want to take, like International Dimensions, Leadership and Personal Development, iEFX, etc. The full list is here: Choice | Illinois Engineering Freshman Experience

I'm wondering if any current engineering students took any of these last year and whether you actually found it useful. Right now, I'm looking at Leadership and Personal Development and iEFX. Oh and I'm a girl majoring in mechanical engineering, if that helps at all.

I’m entering as a freshman now as in computer engineering and I didn’t sign up for any of them. Between the rest of my classes I didn’t want the extra work. One of my friends who is in chemical decided to do iEFX but I forgot his choice. He just did what appealed to him. Thats my advice do you, just do what you like. Or do nothing at all like me.

I will be one of the ELAs(aka TAs) in iEFX for the incoming year. When we were in the freshman year, we did two projects for iEFX. We did not have those options to explore last year though. I reasonably believe that this program will do better for this year.
