What are some of popular/remarkable activities done by ethnic groups at Harvard campus? Are these activities constrained in Campus and in Cambridge/Boston Area? Or do students reach out worldwide?

hmmm, i guess it depends on the ethnic groups. I know that the big groups are the Black Students Association (along with the Black Men's Forum and the Association of Black Harvard Women), Fuerza Latina and the South Asian Men's Collective (SAMC).

This year, SAMC threw a charity dance (which raised a lot of money) to help eradicate poverty in South Asia. The Black Men's Forum and the Harvard AIDS Coalition are going to throw a charity dance to help support the AIDS fight around the world. And, I think that all the groups do a lot of community outreach programs.

in terms of reaching out worldwide, i wouldn't really know. maybe someone else can answer that question.

There are various Southeast Asian groups. When my S attended admitted students weekend, he attended the Southeast Asia night that was rather fun.
Students are involved in BRYE (Boston refugee youth enrichment) tutoring k-12 students with limited English; there is also an undergraduate organization called HPAIR which organizes conferences in East and Southeast Asia every year.
If you want more information about community outreach, look up the Phillips Brooks website. There is also a list of the 300 or so student organizations somewhere on the Harvard website.
