The food at Wesleyan, I think, is really quite good. Usdan always has a ton of options - besides lunch/dinner of the day, theres stir fry, pizza, kosher, vegan, burger, salad and deli bars, mexican, pasta…anything. There are also a lot of dining hall options (Summerfields, WesWings, Pi, etc.)

Once you find your way to the New Haven train station, getting to Boston or NY is easy. There are lots of shuttles on breaks (even direct to Boston and NY), but during the rest of the year there is just one to New Haven on Fri, Sat, and Sun. Not very convenient.

THere is a TON of music here. Concerts at least once a week (some on-campus bands and some from outside). All types too: experimental, reggae, classical, anything. People can be a bit snobby about music here, though, so beware.

I love Olin. I’m a big library person and Olin is great! Very pretty and a really nice place to study. And of course, a million books.

The faculty are very friendly and accomodating. Always inviting you to office hours and do what they can to help you. I’m only a freshmen and have some bigger classes, so I haven’t gotten too close to any teachers yet. However, it is definitely possible and I still like all of them the same. Definitely informal relationships for the most part.

Most people aren’t snobby. They simply have, in general, far more interesting music taste and knowledge than that of students at the average college. It’s true. :)
