Currently in a Community College Class, UC app does not let me put that the class is in progress.

I am a senior in high school applying to UCs. I am currently taking environmental science 1 at a community college and the course will not be complete until late December. When I try attempt to put in progress for the course the UC app tells me I am not able to do that. What am I supposed to do? Thanks!

Are you entering into the College section of the UC application?

Yes

Have you finished the HS academic section before entering the college section?

If courses were taken at a California Community College (CCC), a UC- transferable course list will appear.
• Select the course(s) taken, grade earned (or enter IP for In Progress, PL for
Planned courses), and the “a-g” subject area in which the course fits.
• Only report courses taken for a letter grade; courses in which a
Pass/Credit/No Credit grade were earned should not be included
• Only non UC-transferable English and math courses can be reported in this
section of the application.
• If there are other CCC courses that are not UC-transferable, report
them in the Non a-g Coursework area later in the application.

I took Environmental Science 1 at a CCC. I have the high school information all filled out and the correct college inputted. I see the class listed, but when I put IP the application says incomplete and at the top “Please enter a valid grade other than IP (In Progress) or PL (Planned),” appears.

Will do, thank you.

It sounds like it’s trying to input into a previous term. Go to the very start and recheck that your dates of enrollment at the CCC end with this term. Sometimes the problem is what you put at the very start.

^ agree. If this were a real problem, tons of people would be complaining.
