Also, for the CR there are sometimes 2 potentially good looking answers. For the math, there can only be 1 definitive answer. Although many people say otherwise, CR is sometimes based on interpretations like tone.

You're right, and both sections are largely based on reasoning more than knowledge, but I just get miffed by the people who go around saying that SAT math is so easy. If you find it easy, good for you! But that doesn't mean you need to go around insulting people who found some of the problems challenging. It looks like I did a lot better on CR than some of you who aced math - does that mean I should go around laughing at those of you who found the CR hard and talking about how simple the questions were?

^yepp exactly

i shouldn't have come on this forum so much. it's made me so anxious for april 7.

Yeah it's a given fact that the math is easy in concepts but you still need a brain to decipher the problems. No one's going to argue you can complete the math problems without a calculator, but if you go around saying the questions could be solved by a 2 year old and are easy as hell, blah blah blah, you'll meet opposition. Unless you got a 2400, don't critique other's weaknesses in a certain section.

^yepp, that too

hey man, I apologize. I was just pointing out that CR is more confusing in that aspect. But I don't understand. You could have reacted harshly to my first comment but you choose to comment after a second, unrelated, and uninsulting question. I "get miffed" by the people who do that.

No no - I wasn't ranting at you :) I was upset with the other people who were going around bragging about how easy they thought math was. And I'm not really that mad at them either - it's very hard to judge someone's intent and tone over the internet - I was more just trying to point out that what they were saying was inappropriate. Sorry if I came across as angry.

^ Looking back I do see where you posted that you thought math was easy - but your post was quite different from those of some others. I don't mind intelligent debate on the relative difficulty of different sections; it's just the bragging/demeaning tone some people use that gets to me.

how do u make a smiley? :) <--did that work?

^yay it worked! :) :( ;)

^ Looks like you figured it out :):):)

I think there's a link in the bottom left of most pages that shows you how to make a variety of them :):(:mad::p;):D:o:rolleyes::cool::eek:

:) :( ;) ;):):):):):(;);):):):) >:( >:( :):):)

awww I don't see the link.

Lol, were you trying to make an angry face with the >:(?

Look at the bottom left corner here.

& I don't get why people think that the ACT is easier, I didn't think so :(
the ACT pwned me big time
I walked out of that test feeling so depressed. I wanted to die.

^ ohhh awesome!!!! thanks
:p
:o

Cool, did you know you can center the text?

Getting back on topic...
I've never taken the ACT. I may not bother if I'm happy with my SAT.
