Curves

I was wondering with the curves (I'm taking the October ACT)

Which curve tends to be the most beneficial? (As in, which test is usually the "easiest"?) vice versa, which one is the "hardest"?

it does not matter.
If the test is easier, the curve will be harder
if the test is harder, the currve will be a little easier

Yeah there's no "easier" standardized test when it comes to scores; even if the questions are of a lower difficultly level, the curve will be tougher and even it out.

This might answer your question: for the reading section, you can usually get 1 or 2 wrong and still get a 36 for the section. But science has the worst curving... if you get 4 wrong you could end up with a 31. So reading usually has a generous curve while the science one is not so beneficial. For math and english, you lose about a point for each question you answer wrong (for the first several questions). But what the people above said is true, a easier test has a harder curve, and a harder test has a more lenient curve.

thanks

that was basically what i was asking: just didnt really know how to word it
