CWRU or OSU???

No offense, but if you're not having a good social experience, its probably your own fault. People around here complain all the time that there's not enough to do, when really they just don't go outside and check out what's going on. Or maybe if your group of friends isn't having any fun, then that says something about the friends you've made, and maybe you should meet new people. Though I will agree that more people need to get out to the sporting events and show some support.

^^^ Hey CaseSpartan10, this is the first case I see of someone actually displeased with Case. Your view of the problem please???

gprime - I am sorry that your first year did not go well. However, your statement is misleading. Case has a first-year retention rate around 90%. This means that 90% of the freshman class returns for second year. Although this does not mean that all those stayed are extremely happy but I doubt they are as miserable as you stated.

To the original poster - I personally know several OSU faculty. Even they will tell you that Case offers more opportunities. However, if you feel OSU is a better fit, go for it. If you are happy, then you will do well - regardless where you are.

GWEM, I grant you it may largely be a function of my choice in friends. That is, we are not science or engineering majors of any variety, and therefore are disappointed.

As per level of general satisfaction, I would note that a 90% retention rate is a drop compared to 2005. And it remains ranked among the 20 least happy schools in the nation. So it may be GPA or cost factors keeping people here rather than actual happiness.

gprime:
Wow! you sound like maybe you would be happier somewhere else. But I love it here, I have amazing, down-to-earth friends, I joined a sorority, etc. My one complaint is the low school spirit, I wish everyone liked Case as much as I do. As an engineer I can't speak to non-science/engineering majors, but I happen to love it here--and aren't we talking about being premed anyhow?

agreed wtih casegirl- love it here.
