First off I would like to say hello, Im new here and plan on staying here throughout my high school career into college.

Ok well heres my question... What are some Division 1 colleges that offer a graphics design course? I would like some answers that are close or in Ohio. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and I dont plan on moving far, but I will if need be. Name all colleges close and far.

I found acouple small designing colleges in Cincinnati including Art Academy of Cincinnati, but like I said its a small college with not alot of college life. I plan on having a good time in college along with getting a 4 year degree.

The College of Design Architecture Art and Planning, DAAP, at the University of Cincinnati is highly regarded, is D1 and offers a B.S in Graphic Communication. Seems to hit everything you are looking for unless you think it is too close to home.

No thats sounds great, I didnt see that while exploring UC’s website.

EDIT> To ucbalumnus I am most likely making Varsity year coming year as in 99% sure I am as the varsity as very widely hinted that to me, but I dont plan on getting a D1 scholarship for it. Im just playing for competition and to get some more Merit Aid.

Can you clarify?

It sounds like you don’t expect an athletic scholarship. For what are you expecting to get merit for? Test scores? Art Portfolio? What?

What is your sport? Are you good enough to be recruited? Does your sport offer athletic scholarships? Or do you plan on being a “walk on”?

I second M2K questions asking for clarity about what you are looking for for your college athletic experience … adding DII and DIII into the mix adds A LOT more potential schools into the mix … but may greatly increase your chance to play in college.
