Are there any D.O. schools in Canada? I know from what I searched they are mostly here in the States, but I was curious if they have them in Canada. I want to see what every school offers and compare.
First off there’s this: http://www.studentdo.ca/
And it does look like there are currently only 4 Canadian DO schools: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=osteopathic+schools+in+canada&rflfq=1&rlha=0&rllag=46259071,-101280841,1684896&tbm=lcl&tbs=lf:1,lf_ui:2,lf_pqs:EAE

Those aren’t DO schools. Those are osteopathy schools.
In Canada, there’s a difference between osteopathy and osteopathic medicine.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osteopathy
Currently there are no AOA certified programs in Canada that grant a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine).
There are several programs in Canada that teach osteopathy–or physical manipulation of the body to relieve illness & disease–but graduates of these programs are not recognized as physicians and do not have practice rights as physicians in Canada or elsewhere in the world.
There are only a very, very few osteopathic physicians practicing in Canada (only 12 as of 2014) and not all Canadian provinces will recognize a DO degree or grant them medical licenses.
My bad. Definitely had no idea osteopathy and osteopathic medicine were two different things everywhere but the USA.
