I plan on applying to Harvard SCEA but also look at MIT Football. To get recruited or looked at for MIT, would I need to apply <early> there as well? That would violate the SCEA agreement from Harvard.</early>

Basically, football is not my #1 priority, but I want to see if I can compete at the D3 level. Any tips?

Could I apply MIT RD for football, or is that too late?

Talk to your coach about it. He gave my film to some schools so I tested the waters with D3 football recruiting and the only school I liked that had interest in me was UChicago, but my stats were on the low side and decided it wouldn’t be worth my time (or the money) to apply.

I would imagine with an academically focused school like MIT, grades and test scores will be a much bigger factor than playing football.

When did he send film, before or after your senior season? I feel like my film would be much more effective if I sent it after the upcoming season ends, which is obviously after the Nov 1 deadline for MIT EA, so could I apply RD for football?

I’ll probably ask my coach about it this week, but I want to see if anyone has experience anyways.

My son focused mostly on NESCAC schools…but he sent both a Jr tape and a Sr update.

He sent Jr. and Sr. tape. What you could do is send tape from half the season or something like that if you’re super sure you want to play football at MIT
