Hi i am really interested in ID and the DAAP Program, lets say I have a 3.8 GPA, great experience but my ACT or SAT score is lower (i am trying to raise it sat currently at a 1250) what are my chances of getting in If you are in DAAP what did you get on the SAT or ACT? i am really worried my chances of getting in are small just because of my test score

My son was accepted to DAAP for Industrial Design and his stats were the following - top 5% of class (GPA ~ 3.92), SAT (M+V) 1410, some extracurricular activities but not insane amount and varsity soccer (captain senior year). Good luck to you. It looks like a great program

The academic credentials of the pool of applicants seeking admission to the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) vary each year. The design programs are highly competitive and have a limited number of spaces available.

The following industrial design freshman class profile is based on the middle 50 percent of the entering 2013-14 class:
GPA: 3.57 - 3.98
ACT: 27 - 31
SAT: 1240 - 1370
Average Class Rank: Top 13.2%

This information is available on our website. We share this data so prospective students have an idea of the “typical” academic credentials of students accepted into our programs. Scoring within this range (or outside of it) is not a guarantee of admission (or denial). Admission decisions are based on a holistic review of academic credentials, writing samples, extracurricular activities, and letter(s) of recommendations.

Remember that they use Unweighted GPA, lizziej11.
