@ns10909 I looked at the past three years of ED college confidential discussions for Dartmouth and all of them had results coming out right at 4pm eastern
@boogy2020 great, thanks. super nervous!
Has anyone else’s portal say that Dartmouth redownloaded their admissions material??
@cod22r3 Yep
Is it a bad sign if they didn’t redownload my financial information? Kinda freaking out because it still says the same date they received it which was like November 4th
My portal doesn’t have any indication of redownloaded material… is this bad? Also out of curiosity, where are all of you guys applying from?
im applying via common app, and my financial info has also not been redownloaded
has there been any correlation in the past with kids whose portals don’t say redownloaded not getting in? I’m so nervous especially more now because my portal is still the same exact since I submitted it
@greenforrest200 mine doesn’t say anything about redownloaded material, but tbh not stressing too much about it. I don’t think they would really give too many blatant indicators (if that were potentially one) before the decision. Applying from NC btw! How about everyone else?
I’m applying from Arizona. I got the decision release date email today at work too and it’s all starting to set in how close we are to decision day lol
Yeah I feel like it could be a good sign for those who had their docs redownloaded but it’s probably not a bad thing if they haven’t because then everyone would know in advance.
how have you been able to tell if your material was redownloaded? where would it say that?
you would know by the time stamp that its said it was received, and most of your financial info should have been received/processed early November, its redownloaded if it has a recent time stamp. Mine btw does not. hope that helps
My application materials have also not been redownloaded. Do you think they could possibly be going alphabetically? I don’t think that they would give such obvious indications as to if you were accepted/denied prior to decision day. Maybe those who had their material redownloaded are part of the last lot of students being reconsidered or placed into the admitted pool. I don’t know I’m trying to stay positive.
@20mrincon I was reading the 23s’ page and it seems to have no correlation to acceptance. So don’t worry until Thursday at 4:00. good luck!
Is it ok if I didn’t submit a peer recommendation.
True. Fingers crossed for every one!!!
Technically yes, it’s okay but I have read that the peer recommendation is weighted kind of heavily in regards to your overall application
really? where did you read this?
I’ve seen it on a couple different websites and can find the links for you later, I’m not home at the moment, but I’m mostly referring to when an admissions officer came and did a presentation at my school and when I asked during my alumni interview. Both said that while it is optional, it is strongly recommended for a thorough evaluation of your application because it give the admission committee a personal view on you
