Dartmouth bound 2015... anybody hear back yet?

Jojo, does your STEM interest form ask if you might like to do their STEM Exploration program that takes place during next school year? They haven’t assigned dates yet for it, but it sounds awesome. Maybe they want to consider you for that.

Received the email!
Got accepted!
Good luck everyone!

I got in!!! Omg I’m so excited

I got an email at about 2:30 today saying that I was accepted. Anyone have any idea how many people apply to something like this? It also said something about there being only 75 kids in the program.

Also, @giraffeinatree, it would be a lot easier to start a google groups so that people with and without Facebook can communicate.

When you log in to view your acceptance one of the questions asks you about agreeing to a Facebook page for those admitted.
You are right for those that do not use Facebook, which I no longer use.

So does anybody know what to expect from this ? I’m super excited but really curious too!

Make sure you log onto the site today. I was waiting for an email about flight information but you have to log onto the application management system and the link is there to fill out regarding transportation to the program.

Anyone have an idea of how many people applied to this?

If any of y’all have questions, please feel free to ask. I participated in the program last year and I really appreciated the experience. Even though I will not be a 19 (GO TIGERS!), the weekend was a lot of fun, so hit me up

Congratulations, @Zaralee! (Does Princeton have an equivalent fly-in program for prosper?)
May I ask why you chose Princeton over Dartmouth? Do you know if Dartmouth Bound students enjoy a statistical advantage when it comes to admissions?

@winnvanmeter I don’t think Princeton has a program like Dartmouth Bound, though there is a week-long summer program for Journalism that caters to low-income students (http://www.princeton.edu/sjp/). Princeton and Dartmouth are completely different schools, ranging from their respective proximities to urban areas to the distribution requirements, and I felt that my "fit"at Princeton was much better than my fit at Dartmouth. When I went to DB, a few of the admissions officers and students I spoke to seemed to have very different answers about DB giving applicants an advantage in regular admissions, however, DB is selective, so if you are accepted, then it is a sign that you will be a strong applicant in regular admissions.
