Dartmouth College Supplement Question

I'm applying to Dartmouth College and I was wondering if I could use the prompt (We believe it is critical that your candidacy reflect the interests, experiences and pursuits that are most important to you. To this end, is there anything else you would like us to know?)...last prompt I think...as a sort of "why" essay. I was thinking maybe writing about my family and personal struggles and how Dartmouth could help me overcome my struggles I still endure today. (of course I would be alot more specific as to how and why)

So is this fine? Or is this something like the "additional section" portion of the common application?

Thanks!

I have the exact same question. The way I currently end off my essay basically states why - based of the contents of my essay - I’m a good fit for Dartmouth. Will the admissions committee appreciate this or will it just come off as contrived?

My honest pespective, phonix7? I think writing about how Dartmouth could help you overcome your struggles could be risky. Because what if Dartmouth doesn’t succeed in this, and you are just a student at Dartmouth with a lot of issues/struggles? Could be risky.
