Dartmouth Engr. A BE vs BS degree-what?

Xanatos, yes, I’m an '11! Soon to be an alum though, and with quite mixed feelings about it.

i don’t know if it’s changed, but when i started you could take a placement test to get out of P13 and P14.

You can get out of pretty much all the engs prereqs w/ AP credits except for P13/14 and Math 13, and i’m pretty sure you can place out of all of those too.

My son started freshman year in Math 11 and Physics 15. That was pretty heavy duty and kind of set the stage for the rest of school. It’s been majorly intense but this is what he was meant to do. Enjoys it, too.

If I decide in the end to get the BE, then I think I will be doing the 5 year plan! Does anyone know if you walk the stage twice? Not really worth the extra 50K, but …

yes, you do get to walk twice! looking forward to walking for the 2nd time this June.

However … if you get the BE in 4 years, you walk twice then too, once earlier in the ceremony for the BE, and then later with the rest of the undergrads for your AB.
