I was recently accepted by both these schools and am having a real tough time deciding. I really liked both environments, but have some questions about both schools. As a fairly liberal guy, would Dartmouth not be the best place for me? I'm not exactly what you'd call "preppy" and i'm worried that i may not fit in at Dartmouth. Tufts is a more liberal school and everything, but it's very difficult to pass up on an ivy like this. Let me know what you guys think! Experiences at either school, frats, or whatever will be much appreciated!!
Thanks!

I don’t think it would be crazy to pass up Dartmouth in favor of Tufts. Tufts sounds like a better fit for you.

Go where you’re going to do your very best work. Usually humans work better when they’re happy, but not always. I’d go to Tufts, but then I’m a liberal too.

…Dartmouth is the better school overall, but it depends on your major…sounds like you may like Medford (funky suburb) versus the woods of NH…

I definitely believe that Tufts is the infinitely better school. Lol, what do they even do up at Dartmouth? Tufts is more liberal, with strong programs in more than one field (performing arts, poli sci, int. relations, the sciences etc.) and proximity to a major city with opportunities for personal growth. Dartmouth is also very much a party school.

This is one of those cases where you may be giving undue weight to the Ivy designation. Tufts is very much a comparable school, so if you like it better and feel it’s a better fit, go there.
