Slipper,

you could always adopt!

So it IS possible for interviewers to find out how the people they interviewed did?

Definitely, Daughter's NYC interviewer called and sent a nice little note last year upon her acceptance

I never had an interview for Dartmouth...Still got in though ;-)

I never had an interview either. I also got in. ^.^

wow, i really do hope the enrolling minority percentage will still be close to the admitted percentage/46%!

That would be impressive. Are they starting a minority-recruitment initiative or something? 46% is a lot higher than the actual proportion on campus right now.

The minority proportion will almost surely go down for the incoming class, especially as most Ivies/elites draw from the same small pools of minority applicants. A lot of them will no doubt be lost to Harvard, Yale, and the like. Whites matriculate at Dartmouth at a much greater percentage than do minorities. And take all minority stats with a grain of salt: the figure is almost assuredly counting many international students as minorities.

Actually I know for a fact that the minority sheet only counts those not considering themselves "caucasian" as minorities, even amongst internationals. Dartmouth is averaging 30-34% minority per class, and this year is the highest ever for admits so I would guess about 35-40% in the end, which is still awesome!
