Dartmouth Vs. NYU BA/DDS Program Vs Wash.U. (Full-ride) Vs. Northwestern

Dartmouth is an undergraduate focused Ivy League school. Some may call NYU is not even in consideration but NYU's BA/DDS (Doctor of Dental Science) program is really appealing, and Wash.U and Northwestern are also really amazing schools. Please don't pu too much attention on the cost, but for one's long-term career benefit.

Yo dude, you should definitely go to NYU. Like, what up. You’re guaranteed to be a dentist. You could totally start a dentist company.

Go to Wash U full ride!!! Unless u’re a millionaire, that’s ur best choice.

What if money is not an object for me? Still Wash.U. or Dartmouth or NYU (DDS Program))?

how much $$ is NYU giving you.

If wash U is giving you a full ride, go there as dental school will most likely be all loans

The thing is that how hard is getting into NYU and other top Dental Schools?

I think if you really want to be a dentist, I don’t think you’d be happy at Dartmouth IMHO.

I agree with Balletgirl. If you really want to be a dentist go to NYU.

On the flip side, if you want to keep your options open, go to Dartmouth. Caution–after 4 years at Dartmouth I don’t think you’ll want to be a dentist and you probably won’t meet anyone there with that goal.

Are you suggesting no one at Dartmouth is interested in going into medicine?

Many are interested in medicine; rare is the person expressing interest in dentistry.

wash u duh

How hard is getting into NYU Dental School?

Alright so get this. This kid harasses me just to read a couple of my application essays (which of course, I obviously didn’t give to him), asks me for my opinion on the Yale transfer essay THAT HE ALREADY WROTE DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE HASN’T BEEN TO DARTMOUTH OR WHATEVER YET, asks a million stupid questions regarding the comparative prestige of each school (never mind fit and all of the free information that’s on this website), and poses a ton of moronic hypothetical situations that I obvious do not care about (e.g. “If I choose school A, how likely is it that I’ll transfer into Stanford/Columbia/Yale etc.” or “I know this guy from _____ who got into _____ as a transfer, don’t you think blah blah” or “I copied this essay from a friend who got into _____ as a transfer, so shouldn’t it be good?”).

All on IM.

Listen kid, we just don’t care. Just choose whatever school you want to go to. It’s really that simple.

^^ similar experience here, very odd personn, Humboldt – weird…

^ First of all, why does it matter to you? You are the one who wants to transfer to Yale and Columbia.

washu is your best choice from that list.

even if your not concerned about finances, you will have to pay for grad school so it’s awesome if you get to graduate from undergrad debt free
