there are 3 kinds of kiwi.
1)the fruit
2) the bird
3) the people.
the latter two are from new zealand.

Gah just make me feel dumber......so how in the world did they come up with calling them kiwi? Are only the natives called that or just anyone that lives there?

i guess people who are from new zealand. the natives and their language is called maori, which i used to be able to speak.

That's awesome! I wish I could speak another language. i used to be able to write/read spanish (speaking it was odd because I would suddenly develop a hillbilly accent), but I've forgotten most of it.

yea i can speak and write korean fluently... im working on my french though which is not working out right now

lethargytm: that's pretty impressive. did you learn how to do that from your parents (I'm assuming you're Korean, if you're not -I'm sorry)?

i used to live in korea.

You must move around a lot!

I moved 14 times before I was 15.

He was at the grocery store and I had never seen him before. He had a mustache (which = creepy most of the time). And a fat head.

HAHAHA that killed me!

I don't know if that is good or bad. It would definitely be interesting to live in different countries.

I always hated it when I was growing up because I would have to make new friends every 2 years so I stopped having best friends when I was about 10. But now all grown up I look back and thank my parents for the experience.

Did you live in any other awesome countries? I feel like a loser because I've only lived in 2 different houses and 2 neighboring cities, but it is soon to be 3 cities (I'm so excited--I just hope I can fit in since I'll be a sophomore and I'll be new)! I don't even remember the first place I lived because I was a baby.

I'm moving again this weekend.

oh gosh. Sorry to hear that.

"I'm moving again this weekend."

You're serious about that? Wow...

Yup. Actually my parents are moving, it won't really affect me since college and all but it would be a long commute to see my HS friends.

Lethargytm: Of all the places you moved, which had the most interesting culture to you? just curious :)

Totally agree with you. I've moved around all my life - lived in 3 different countries (can speak 3 languages fluently), went to 2 elementary schools, 3 different middle schools, 3 high schools and two undergrad universities. Never made really good friends. Now if I think about it, I'm glad that I've had so many different experiences culture wise, but it has come at a cost.

Mighty, I was at 3 kindergartens, 3 primary schools, 1 middle school, and luckily one highschool, lets just say it was a long commute. actually id say half the time i moved were to a different house within the same area so i didnt have to change schools and the other half were to other countries.

tguyen: my favourite so far would be new zealand. i loved my accent (note the past tense), i love the food (steak&cheese pie/mince pie), and i love how there were so many things you can do and be one with nature. It's also the place where I sailed a little and love sailing. one time a instructor guy let me sail a boat (it was only like 16ft or so long) during a storm. 4 of my mates were inside the cabin thing and my instructor just watched me and gave me pointers. it was awesome.
