Dating?

hahaha woah/whoa..... diesel you know what i meant. its not like i havent done any, i just dont like it. at all.

okgirl i hate shopping, i dont know how to shop, what to buy.... i really should hire a personal shopper

I'm the same way...not much of a shopping person myself; guys aren't known to be shoppers.

OKgirl: My boyfriend hates shopping with me because I can shop for 4 hours and buy ONE pair of jeans. Or nothing at all. But of course those 4 hours are spent at only 5 stores because I spend half my time trying on half the store.

I'm ridiculously picky.

Except about makeup...

You should hire a personal shopper! When I go to Dallas, I just need someone to carry my bags. We always stay there overnight, so we get a room at the hotel attached to the mall and we have to stop and drop stuff off like 10 times. It's fun there because they have a ton of stores.

I got my eyebrows done! I loved getting them threaded. (btw, guys need to also take care of their eyebrows. They shouldn't be shaped or thin or whatever, you just need to make sure you don't have a unibrow or they extend like an inch past your eyes).

Today has been sad. I'm moving tomorrow and all these people are telling me bye and all that stuff. This guy that has known me since "before I was a twinkle in my parents' eyes" gave me this huge speech about how it's great that I'm doing this for myself......my dad would be proud....if a guy doesn't treat me right, he'll take care of them......he expects to see me graduate....blah blah blah. It must have lasted 20 minutes and it was sad.

You know what the worst thing will probably be? Having to pump my own gas and wash my own car and do my own shopping.

I love living in Cary because I'm about 20 minutes away from 3 ginormous malls. (Think of a mall big enough that they have FIVE department stores in it.) I'm addicted to buying jeans and jackets though. I think I've gotten... 4 pairs of jeans and 3 jackets in the past month.

I'm getting a facial and eyebrow waxing tomorrow. =] I used to get them threaded in Canada, but I can't find a shop here that does it. Threading is so painful during, but god, I love how I don't have to hide my puffy forehead afterwards.

Btw, I agree about the gas and the car and the shopping. =[ I hate shopping by myself. Now that my boyfriend is deployed for 7 months, I probably won't go shopping at all. Might save myself a few grand.

Lmao, this is what happens when you buy from white boys from the suburbs that got their stuff from the real dealers in the ghetto.

Simple consumer economics ... producer, wholesaler, distributor, mom and pop store...

I have 2 malls that I go to around here (you'll get shot/robbed at third one--not kidding). 1 of them has 4 department stores, the other has 5. They are not big at all, so I don't think that is much of an indicator of the size. I just wish I had Nordstrom here. OMG I'm so proud of myself--I only spent $504.74 today!

^Is that a lot or a little for you. I realize that $500 can get you only 5 things depending on how nice the stuff you buy is. I wish my parents would give me $500 to just buy clothes so I could get the two polos and few other clothes I need without having to buy commoner brands. God damn, the Ivy League has made me a stuck up snobby elitist.

My boyfriend bought me a $200 Houndstooth coat cause I fell in love with it so hard. <3333

Anyways, $500 is a lot of money to spend on clothes if you know HOW to spend it. Just Sunday, I spent $30 on $200 worth of clothes because of sales. Mind you, that takes a lot of patience. And I probably would've ended up dropping the full $200 on the coat if my boyfriend hadn't bought it for me.

I think the only real splurges I've made was a pair of $400 sunglasses and a $200 wallet...

Either way, the ones I'm talking about are very very big. And Nords is at all of them. Have you heard of Southpoint? Part of it is made into like a outdoor village and it probably has the world's best cheap restaurants all in one spot. It's beautiful.

i'm from cary, too :)
it pretty much sucks..kind of reminiscent of stepford

but she's right, the shopping is fabulous! <3 southpointe

How can you buy $400 sunglasses? I always end up losing mine...

I think you hit the nail right on the head. It is somewhat reminiscent of Stepford. Having a car makes it so much better though.

@ Beef: Yeah... I ended up losing them 2 months later. Now I stock up on cheap sunglasses from the stalls in NYC.

i hate to say it but i caved and bought a pair of dior sunglasses. i like them but now just don't think about how much they were

i lose/break sunglasses like it's my job so i never spend more than 15 bucks haha

$500 isn't a lot for me. I usually spend around $2,000. I'm sort of embarrased to admit it, but I've never even looked at a clearance rack as far as I'm aware (I tend to not pay a ton of attention a lot of the time). I have got stuff on sale, but I didn't go bargain hunting. I've also never been to a thrift store.

The most expensive thing I've bought is a $478 dollar Coach bag (we don't have any other designer stores here). I've been eyeing some designer sunglasses, but I haven't talked myself into buying them for fear of loosing them.

haha. I'm on a $300/month budget that covers all my expenses from gas to clothes to shampoo. So clearance rack it is for me!

But I only shop at designer stores so I don't think my wardrobe has really suffered for it. But I do wish that I could be free-er (***?) in terms of what to get. I think the main reason I spend so much time sifting through clothes is because the selection is definitely not that great in the clearance section. The clothes are either too small (like x-x-small) or too big (3/4 of the rack is Medium+ I swear to god). But I've gotten incredible deals. (Like the cutest vest this weekend for $15...)

I seem have a problem with store only having XS or XL, 00 or 12, or crappy colors.

So do yall think I should sign up for rush? Sororities aren't a big thing on campus (don't even have a house or anything), but it might just be fun to rush. IDK if I'd actually join.

i would say yes sign up for rush. if you like it, you like it. if not, what did you really lose?

you lose time.
i live near where they have one mall that has 2 sections, one for the regular joes and the other for ritzy people. another is like an outlet store with bunch of big named brands. the most expensive things i own are my suits, the most expensive thing i bought was for my mom, like 800 dollar something handbag.

^Tysons Corner? I really need to get to NYC for shopping one of these days. It's sad when you want nice things, technically have the money to buy them (I've been saving up for 4 summers now) but are too cheap to spend a dime. I have one suit for christ's sake and I don't even like it.
