<p>Um… if you’re talking about the personal essay for the University of Washington incoming freshman application… the deadline is December 1.</p>
<p>Sure you could turn it in early, but it’s not like they check it early. They check every single one on the same day, so it would have been nice for you to keep reviewing and making sure this is the paper you wanted to send in. Otherwise if it looked perfect, then good job :)</p>
<p>I think he is taking about transfer applicants for winter quarter. If you submit it before 12 midnight, you should be fine. As long as it is open, submissions are accepted. Generally speaking, after the deadline, you wont have the option to apply. </p>
