Dealing with College Board re "Unavailable" Test Scores

Carolyn, you were right. We got our scores 9 days late, isn't that one day of less fustration than your family had? I really started to believe that he may not have these scores at all or not by the time we need them. I actually feel lucky to have them after all of this!

Northeastmom, I'm so happy to hear that you got the scores! It's a relief isn't it? And, it sounds like they were GOOD scores to boot. Just imagine how it would feel to get BAD scores after all this time! :)

I really think this is something that the College Board doesn't want publicized and it is not just since the new SAT that this problem has occurred apparently. All I can say is that I am going to make sure that my daughter has all of her scores sent to the colleges she's applying to months in advance!

Carolyn, it is funny, but I was just thinking about when to send those scores out. Yes, they are good scores for the schools we are considering. He has his March scores too. Both seating had good scores, and the schools we are looking at all said they are taking the highest scores from the various seatings.

It was a frustrating 9 days and a big waste of my time. I am just so happy that we have our scores. One rep told me that some students are still waiting for the March scores, and that there are students that never received their scores from years back. I wonder if that is really the case, bcs I never heard of it. Our gc said that it has never happened to one of her students, but as everyone knows, they are dealing w many more students. I just feel sorry for anyone that has no scores and loses out on ED/EA bcs of this. I wonder how often that occurs.

I have a 7th grader and he will take his SATs early!!!

Oh my gosh, now THAT would be a nightmare. Imagine a 40 year old, still signing on to the college board site, hoping against hope that FINALLY his scores will be posted. ;)

I think I will have my daughter send her scores over the summer, even if her final list changes, or she changes her mind and decides to take them again (don't think that will happen though, like your son, she's in good shape for the schools on her list).
