yeah, you’ll get both.

A related question, I just got my last grade, and calculated checked my cumulative GPA. I have a 3.491/4.000. Is it okay to represent this as a 3.5/4.0 on my transcript? I ask this because a lot of internships want a 3.5 minimum. Note that I’m not saying 3.50/4.00, just 3.5/4.0.

^ Those companies are most likely going to evaluate their gpa to the second decimal, so write 3.49.

Although that sucks, the company will most likely do a check on all applicants with their transcripts before they are offered the internship (or sometimes even after) and if they find out that your gpa was below the minimum, then they may rescind their decision, which I’ve personally seen happen.

Now I’ve heard of people getting interviews even though their gpa was lower than the minimum so I would just apply regardless and hope for an interview.

rounding up is fine as long as you use the correct rounding. For instance, 3.49 is 3.49/4.00 or 3.5/4.0, but not 3.50/4.00

Okay, thanks guys.

Now, if an employer does not specifically weed out anything that’s a 3.5 or less, should I write 3.49/4.00 or 3.5/4.0?
