If we go by what MOM says, then I should receive my scholarship this Saturday! woot

^Yep.

I got my acceptance last Saturday, hopefully I get the scholarship this Saturday!

1/4 tuition off would be awfully nice…

Same as other people in this thread: I got accepted last week without mention of scholarships, and today I received a letter telling me that I received the Dean’s Scholarship!

Reporting the same for DS. He got the scholarship letter for Deans and an additional packet from Viterbi with a “welcome letter” and a fat book outlining the educational plans for engineering. It came a week later than the admission packet with no invitation to interview for the T/P.

just got my scholarship and fat packet from viterbi!

As others predicted based on previous years, the Dean’s Scholarship letter for my D arrived today. She achieved her goal of being admitted to USC with a scholarship - not the scholarship she needed in order to be able to attend unfortunately - but she did everything under her control to make her dream happen. I am very proud of her for that!

So does this mean that those who didnt receive an early acceptance definitely could not receive the Deans scholarship if they are admitted later?

sarahe, if you didn’t get deans now you will not be getting it later.

^ Not necessarily, I talked with my counselor and he said there are still a few Dean’s scholarships to be distributed by the departments, but the amount is usually small.

curious…dean’s is dean’s…it is a 1/4 scholarship. They were given out already.

Curious-yes small scholarships from deparrtments do usually appear towards the end. Usually to entice a student to pick USC. DS’s appeared mid to late April.

@Stalker
Yes but not ALL were given out. I talk to a USC counselor…

I find it odd that they didn’t give out all deans? I understand the other smaller may not have…Georgia Girl will know

My counselor mentioned how the departments choose a small amount of applicants for the dean scholarships. I think they take longer to choose the rerecipients…
