@LesPronoms Yes definitely those AP scores are a bit low. Do you know if AP scores are factored into admissions decisions… since the schools only have self-reported scores at the time of admission decisions?
Thanks for the chance.

@ShaneBlakeEy Sorry for the late response. Did you send your AP scores? The UC system operates on an “honor code” system AFAIK so they’ll believe whatever score you put down, and then ask you to send whatever scores you have with your high school transcript after you are accepted to each UC university.
For Columbia and Cornell, if you sent them, I’m sure they’d be filed and looked at in your application, but the scores themselves wouldn’t be given much weight as opposed to your performance in each AP class, as getting a 5 on an AP test isn’t impressive as you only have to get around 60% of the points possible on the exam.
ucb and ucla you’ll get in. match/high match
columbia: low to mid reach
cornell: high match/low reach
really the essays and ecs and the subjective portions of your app will make or break you

@ShowMeState700 thanks!
@LesPronoms I did not send me AP scores yet and will send them after admission. Thanks for the info! Hopefully they won’t bring me down too much for the UCs!
UC GPA (capped) : 4.3
Bump!
Columbia: Low-Mid Reach
Cornell: Low-Mid Reach
UCB: Match
UCLA: Match
You’re def getting into atleast one of the UCs (and likely both) because you’re a Cali resident and of your good stats. Being an Asian Male going into computer science is a pretty stereotypical thing so that might hurt (only a tiny bit), but I think the internship at UCLA will make the two Ivys from a reach to a low reach.
