<p>Is coming in 5th in a National Debate Championship tournament good for a college app? </p>
<p>Or if I'm not first - does it even matter.</p>
<p>It is, as you might expect, much better than not qualifying for a national tournament, and not as good as being fifth in virtually anything at the Olympics.</p>
<p>But how does it look?</p>
