Psych major, planning on doing an MBA straight after my graduation. Which one is more worth it? lol so Northeastern(currently living in boston) has the better location but Brandeis is probably way better academically(ranking wise) so where should I go? No financial aid/scholarship concerned as I am an international student, Brandeis is probably more expensive.(1000-5000 annually).

Since this is a Northeastern thread, convince me why i should choose Northeastern.

All major business schools and many other business schools require a minimum of 2 years full time work experience before being admitted. NU and Brandeis are quite different schools. Have you visited each campus?

Yes I already visited both. My aim is to get admitted to Stanford’s knight business school or Kellog or Sloan. These 3 schools do not need work experience, College seniors are eligible to apply. I went to Stanford for a quarter as a visiting student last year and I have called the admission officers of the respective business schools. However which one do you think will give me the most chance of gaining admission to these 3 schools between brandeis and Northeastern

I personally prefer Brandeis over Northeastern but that’s just because of aesthetics. But when it comes down to it, to me, Northeastern has more name recognition which could be a contributing factor. Not only will the co-op experiences at Northeastern bolster your resume, it will also provide you with a few more connects, come application time to Stanford. With Brandeis, you are still able to get internships but the co-op is built right into the education at Northeastern, making it slightly less stressful. It’s just different. If I were making this decision, I would be focusing on which environment I like more and how willing am I to actively seek for internships.

Nonetheless, I’d pick the school you feel more at “home” at. Because what matters is what you do at each school, not just the school itself. You could bum at a great school and not get accepted. It comes down to your feelings. JUST LISTEN TO YOUR HEART WHEN IT’S CALLING FOR YOU
