**December 14 ACT Thread - International**

How was your ACT?
I had form 71R and the reading section had a really hard passage this time. How was your experience and what do you think the curve will be like ?

I am a junior and this was my first ACT

Which hard passage are you talking about?
Passage on Elk/Pueblo/Realism art was really hard for me :(

I think science was the hardest part for me

Yes the Pueblo one. The other three were normal. But the pueblo one really ruined my reading.
I found one passage for science hard aswell. The plastic sphere/volcanic activity…

Really? I got different passages… Egloo/Bees and blahblah

Are you all in different countries? I thought all international tests were the same

i live in middle east asia

I have some questions.

Science

  • What was the answer for the reason for the earthquake?
answer choices were faults, erosion and other 2 i can’t remember

English

  • in companionship or for companionship?

Maths

  • polynomial equation f(1)=-10, f(2)=-6, f(3)=-2, f(4)=4, f(5)=10
    when does f(x)= 0 (must)

I chose f(x) doesn’t have to be 0.

Yes, I’m also in the middleeast/asia and got the same test as Coverpool (I think form 69F).

I found the hardest section to be the Math… the English was a bit confusing, but still easy. The science was the easiest.

For the earthquake question, I put “faulting”. Nothing in the passage said this, it was based on previous knowledge.

For English, I put “for companionship” because this sounds the most grammatically correct.

The Math one, I remember that question but not my answer-- I changed it a couple of times :p.

hey guys i got a question
i took the international act test outside the states and got a question regarding the results
can you already say, when about they´re going to be published?
i read in this thread, that plenty of test centers got closed because of the snow chaos in the states. do you guess this could decrease the waiting time for the results?
again, i´m only asking for the international test results

Scores are available at least 3 weeks after the test (if you didn’t take the writing), or 5 weeks if you did. These are minimums so hopefully we will see our scores early because they have less papers to get through.

If anyone remembers questions, post them here so we can start collecting!

(I remembered, my form was 65F)

Last time(Sept Sitting) I got my multiple choice scores exactly 3 weeks after my test date. My writing score came up after 3 more days. However, most internationals had to wait for 4 weeks to receive their scores.

ceencat, nice to see you~… What were your confusing questions? I might know the answers

Hi :)

For the English --

In the passage about stress raising his body temperature, what did you put for the very first question? It was something like:

a) degrees,
b) degrees. (this was my choice)
c) degrees, and

Also in Math–

What did you put for the question about a garden and plants, that asked for the area of the entire field? Or something like that…

Reading–

The igloo passage, “why did the kid’s name feel attached to the igloo?”

a) Because his brother helped build it…
b) Because he watched it be built from start to finish (this was my choice)
…

Thanks, if I think of any others I’ll let you know

All I want to say, the science really ruins my score. I think if I have done bad, science should be the worst one. So many words in passage, there are seldom figures in the last 3 passages

There was no fighting scientists in my science section but it was still really hard!

Anybody got scores?

internationals … Did you get ur score?

mine says registered

International. No scores yet! :(
