It was about how technology affected information distribution and whether or not that was leading to a less or more educated population

In March 2008 5 wrongs made 710

In Oct 2010 I took the international test, which repeated the CR of March 2008 test

I got 5 wrongs and got 710

So it must have been different from the one about communication? Thanks for the reply, I’m a little bit less worried now!

oh my god…apparently for CR, -3 is a 740 based on the march 2010.

i think the curve is :

-0 = 740
-1 = 640
-2 = 400
-3 = 200

Even I know this curve is way off!

So what is the general consensus for the east coast dec2010 SAT. CR, W, Math harder or easier then past sats?

and -4 is probably going to be a -200. It’s happened before.

I bet CR curve will be generous (or at least not anything below average) since people have generally responded saying that it was more challenging.
I always feel that the math curve is unnecessarily strict no matter the difficulty of the actual questions, so I’ll just assume it will be the standard 1x = 770 and downhill from there
No idea about writing

i definitely got 2400

i definitely got 2400

^Probably the same as everybody else.

So I was wondering if the machine that grades our scantrons will pick up any marks outside the bubbles? I made a small mark on top of some of the numbers, and I’m worried that the machine will pick that up as an A? Do you think that this is possible?

^Oh, that’s a relief, I thought it was a 720 only. Phew.

First of all, the SAT Dec’s results aren’t on 21st, but are on the 23rd.
Secondly, my predictions for the SAT 3 Sections’ curves are:

WRITING: will follow the regular basis. That means that the raw marks will have the same score as they do in most of the times.

CRITICAL READING: will be partly lenient for American students, and partly tough for internationals.

MATHS: will be VERY HARSH, because the exam was utterly LUDICROUS. So harsh, that probably for a raw score of 54, you might receive a 790.

Now, about how was the exam, here are my assumptions:

MATHS: As I previously mentioned wasn’t sane Maths, it was reallyyyyyyyyyyy easy, but I omitted one!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! HILARIOUS!! :D

WRITING: Pretty good.

READING: It was half great and half…

I don’t think you are talking about this exam, both of you.

And, stop contradicting yourselves!!!

I don’t mean to nullify your claims. I am sorry if this is any caustic.

Well the CB did it again. There were two different versions of the US test plus an International test. Several CCers have asked me to post a thread on how DH performed on these tests. I took one version and have read all the CC posts. Here is a preliminary list of hits using DH 2011:

DH seems to have performed exceptionally well on the Level 5 sentence completions. For example, on the International test PANTHEON, CHAGRIN, and DISINGENUOUS were all answers to the last SC in a list.

I’ll have a more complete analysis later. The Compilations are not yet complete.

dark knight, i’m not sure if this is to be included, but for the sc with “enigmatic” as the answer, you could not have gotten it correct unless you knew the meaning of “arcane” (which, unfortunately, I did not ) which was in the question

^Good point! Arcane is Word 369 in DH 2011.

Is enigmatic an answer to the international test? I don’t remember such an answer.

what does dh stands for ?
where are these list u are talking about
