2400
almost died when I saw the score

Sooā¦if I superscore my two sittings, I have a 2370.

Anyway, taking it a third time is not a bright prospect. But I really, really want an 800 in math. Every time, thoughā¦

darn I lost 10 points from the last time I took the test :(

Well sobā¦ I wish i was half as smart as you guys. Like i said before i needed either a 740 math or a 620 readingā¦

710 math
610 reading
550 writing

Well im done with the sat forever and i didnt get the scores i needed, time to go kill someone

CR: 780
Math: 770
Writing: 800 (Perfect multiple choice, 10 on essay)

Wow, I canāt believe my lowest score was math. Freaking 800 on SAT II math, and then this. Oh well, Iām too lazy to retake itā¦

Iām done with the SAT too forever with a score of 1940. But my score improved by 210 points in a month. So what can I sayā¦But still disappointed. Eff you reading section and essay!
It looks like many people are disappointed with their scoresā¦ so saaadā¦

@eatlovepray Two of the same man, my final superscore is a 1940. Eff you reading section and stupid math mistakes. As ive always said, i could care less if i had a 200 or 800 on writing

@golfing- Why the apathy toward writing? While some schools donāt look at it, the majority at least consider it, and the best schools weight it exactly the same as the other sections (I know Stanford and Harvard do). Working on your writing score is vitally important unless applying to Northwestern or perhaps Georgetown (I think the two highest ranked schools that donāt consider writing)

@Nihility, because the two schools im considering are about 1/10 of the smartness level of those and only require math and reading for scholarships. My highest writing was a 590 and thats plenty for me to get accepted. I got accepted to both clemson and alabama and needed a 1330 for bama(got a $14600 scholarship) but needed a 1350 for clemson which is where i really wanted to go :/

Ah I see. You doing the engineering full-ride from Alabama?

Is there anyone who is 21 or above? coz Iām already 21 and considering changing my current major English into business or sthā¦I canāt decide between a grad school or a collegeā¦ughhh and I donāt have anytime to decide since I still have to send some of my materials to colleges. If I choose a grad school, it wonāt be in the states, somewhere in Europe. But I wonāt have a lot of flexibility when it comes to majorā¦probably in English linguistics or in international relationsā¦i dunnoā¦If I go for a college, I will have to start from the very beginning and will be graduating at the age of 25ā¦So it sounds so oldā¦What should I do??? Any suggestions and advice will be appreciatedā¦

And both English linguistics and International relations majors are somewhat overlooked and considered useless majors in our country. So, jobs are kinda hard to findā¦

Hey juniors! So Iām a senior and had done super crappy on the SAT the first THREE times I took it. My score was OK for the first time I took it last year (1830). I retook it and went down to a 1700, then again to a 1750, so I was really ****ed. Of course I had a bunch of medical complications at the time (needed two ankle surgeries, other injuries, tons of pain, you get the point). I knew I could improve my writing score by a lot because writing is really my āthing.ā I came across this thread:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/645763-how-write-12-essay-just-10-days.html?highlight=12+essay+in+10+days

It really works! I had been stuck at an 8 essay, and in TWO days of prep, I got my score up to a 10. While I would have loved a 12, I am really happy with my total score. 2030 just isnāt bad considering everything all Iāve gone through. I fought with my mom, but she made me take the SAT a fourth time, and Iāve never been so happy to have listened to her. My point is that if youāve got the time and youāre not quite satisfied with your score, KEEP TRYING!

Of courseā¦ to all of you who have gotten a 2300+ā¦ colleges donāt look on it favorably if you retake a 2350 to try and get a 2400. They consider a 2350 and a 2400 the same thing. Lots of Deans have come out saying that there are far better ways in which you can spend your time/money. Donāt put yourself through that misery just because you want that perfect score. Not worth it.

Anyways, give that essay format a try. Practice lots, and donāt give up Good luck!

improving your essay 2 points wonāt take you from a 1750 to a 2030

@sarsoccersar- Went from an 8 to a 5 first two essay attempts and then searched the internet and I used the same thread for help. Next test I got a 12 and an 800 in writing (previous 710 and 660, missed 2 MC all three times). That thread really does tell you correctly what the graders are looking for. I took the SAT one more time and got a 10 my final time. I knew the essay was weaker, but I still followed the template so it would have been difficult to do worse than a 10. Total essay prep? 4 hours. Total score increase? 90 points.

God I hate stupid math mistakes. I just froze. I want a math 800, but I canāt break 750 (on practice tests, where I usually break 700).

The sad thing is Iām happy with the other two scores.

ughhhh 620 reading, 680 math, 730 writing. 2030.
Kind of expected, because I know I basically screwed up every sentence completion and messed up on a few math questions but I thought Iād get an 800 writing Ah oh well. Atleast I know what to work on; check my math questions as I do them and STUDY VOCAB!!. January SAT, I will conquer you

700 cr 730 m 770 w with 12 essay

Definitely retaking it since I blew it on cr and math. I thought I got an 800 in math since I think I got all the ones in the SAT math thread right but I guess I missed a few easy questions somewhere.

@nihility- Nope I recieved the capstone scholarship(2/3 tuition)

how do you see your essay score?
