OMGGG It’s killing me right now, I can’t help thinking and wondering about that
Damn the SAT!
What did everyone get for the math one with the triangles and how if ab=bc=cd=de
All are correct.
How? They didn’t specify the angle of the line so the two lines going between the perpedicular ones could have been any length
@bsdsj22 !!
@bsdisj22
Could you tell me which one did you choose for the question in #239? Thanks!
The figure given didn’t say
Note: Figure not drawn to scale.
That means the figure is drawn to scale. If you took your pencil and measured the length of the line (as stated in PWN the SAT math guide), you should’ve gotten the same length for the two lines that intersected each other. Therefore, they are all correct.
@bsdsj22
If you’ve read the collegeboard rules you’ll know that we’re not allowed to bring rulers. So we could have only known the slanted lines had equal length if their ends were at the ends/midpoints of the perpendicular lines. So if there is no ruler and no angle, those lines could be any length and we wouldn’t know
You’re not understanding. You don’t need a ruler to know that the length of the side is 1/5 the length of my pencil. The figure given is to scale so it doesn’t matter if you use a ruler or a pencil or an eraser.
The figure given did not say NOTE: FIGURE NOT DRAWN TO SCALE.
THIS MEANS: You can measure out the lengths.
Check any practice test to see what I mean. If the figure is not drawn to scale, it will say it is not drawn to scale.
If you didn’t know this I wonder how you got the 108 degree problem right.
@aprilludgate even if you do not measure the length, you can still prove that their lengths are the same. I didn’t measure but prove that one.
So that’s all correct
@thewindisblowing how do you prove it without measuring?
@bsdsj22 the 108 question was based on the principle that 2 sides of the triangle are radii of the circle and are hence equal.
@aprilludgate right now i can’t remember, if you can provide me that figure again, i can tell you.
And just like bsdsj22 said, the figure is already scaled, so you can just simply measure it
IT IS 108
nobody said it wasn’t.
@nyf3037 i put different periods
hahahahaha @bsdsj22
Are you sure that the answer to the triangle one was all of them?
I recall being pretty sure that not all of them were correct.
hey guys!! Please tell me! In the eggs splattering passage, there was a question with one answer choice like “a yet-unexplained phenomenon” or sth. Is that wrong?? What was the question like? I forgot
I remember having that as an answer^
What did you put on the triangle math question?
