Since essay scores won't be out for a while, what are you guys putting on the Common App for that? Just "--" (what about the colleges that require the essay though?)?

Idk about you but my essay score does show up-its under the english combined with writing subsection

if you got over a 33+ on the english even if you get a 12 I think your score will stay the same so I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say it is the exact same thing as your english score. At least that’s how it worked out for me last time.

Oh, my scores aren’t up yet…still waiting!! But I just remember that essay scores don’t come out until later; maybe December is different? since they know students need scores for applications?

I don’t have my scores up either but I don’t expect my writing combined score to be any different than my english composite. I’m saying if you scored a 33-36 I can almost guarantee you that your writing score won’t be higher than your english score. Unless you think you bombed the essay it will 90%ish be the same.

Well, basically I’m just wondering what we should put under scores on the Common App. I get what you’re saying as to how the essays shouldn’t affect scores as much though.
