One of the exception question’s answer was the Equal Rights Amendment being repealed. (It was never passed in the first place.)

Woah, Manifest Destiny was an answer to one of the questions? Which one??? Were there different tests?

In all honesty, I thought it was really easy. 5-6 I was unsure of, other than that not bad.

First great awakening I put increased in protestant denominations
Phillipines and Cuba was a quick resolution to the war
Kennedy increasing advisors in Korea
Eisenhower sent US Marshals to protect desegregation of schools in Little Rock
Farmers→ The Grange
The English, French, and Spanish all made strategic alliances with Native Americans
For the state population I put Maryland
Bacon’s and Whiskey rebellion were about taxes?
The income for the highest tier increased for one of the chart questions
Women shouldn’t be politicians in early 19th century

Was one of the answers Clayton anti-trust act?
Libel was Zenger.
Was the erie canal about increasing commerce between farmers in the west and eastern cities?
Samuel Gompers was bread and butter policy.
Redeemers question was white supremacy and something else.

See, I think the Bacon Rebellion and Whiskey rebellion question was tricky. Bacon’s rebellion was people uprising against the British’s proclamation that they couldn’t settle past those mountains, which was a western frontier issue. While the Whiske rebellion was over an excise tax…after the revolutionary war. So that’s why I eliminated that answer choice saying that they were caused by taxes by the british.

@starchwinky. I put frontier also at the time it just came to me, but after I came back I looked up Whiskey Rebellion. And thought oh shoot. You give me hope in my random epiphanies. xD

Yeah, I just looked it up again and I’m pretty sure frontier is the right answer. The whiskey rebellion involved western frontier people. Thanks wikipedia!

Well…I think I got 8 wrong and 1 omit. So 79 raw score?
Grrrr…oh well. I’ll be happy as long as it’s a high 700s. My score will definitely be higher than last time. Yay for last minute cramming! I was at Barnes & Nobles reading up US history for a good 6 hours on Friday haha.

Hey. Woah! What a great response! I was worried I was the only one who had taken it.

I felt that this one was harder than last month (which I did horribly on) but I knew more about the new deal having just learned it in class which was nice.

-However, I was kind of stumped on the new deal initiative question… I wasn’t sure if it was employment for youths or bureau of Indian affairs. I ended up picking employment… Did I read the question wrong or something?

EDIT:
After looking over all the other posts, I seem to have done better than I thought…

I have some questions though…

-what was the answer for the Booker T. Washington quote? I remember being between two answers that closely related to his ideas.

-why was it called a “splendid little war?”

-There was a question about the enlightenment and its result?

-what was the answer about the MLk quote?

-result of the first great awakening?

-What was carnegie’s essay on wealth about?

@starchywinky
According to the Kaplan book, a raw score of 79 is a 790. :D

Haha, good thing I remembered a lot of questions.
And I’ll be very happy with a 790 (while I curse myself for not getting an 800).

After looking over all the other posts, I seem to have done better than I thought…

I have some questions though…

-what was the answer for the Booker T. Washington quote? I remember being between two answers that closely related to his ideas.

Hard work and education, stuff like that. I don’t remember the exact answer.

-why was it called a “splendid little war?”
Because they acquired Phillipines and Cuba easily. (I think that was the answer choice…but it had to do with how they got the Spanish territories in such a small amount of time.)

-There was a question about the enlightenment and its result?
I don’t really remember a question about the Enlightenment, but it’s always about reason and logic. Stuff like deism, and how the Earth was created by god, but then left to go about it’s natural course.

-what was the answer about the MLk quote?
Birmingham demonstrations.

-result of the first great awakening?
See, I think there were two right answers for this. I’m sure the choice I picked had something with it leading the movement away from reason or backlash against reason. But it also increased the number of denominations.

-What was carnegie’s essay on wealth about?
Funding civic institutions, the last choice about charity might’ve thrown people off, but he was explicably against just giving money to the poor. He wanted to improve society and the community.

And for the New Deal question, it was the employment of youth.

@starchywinky,

Thank you!

Booker T. Washington quote - I remember saying something like that but i’m not sure. it was very close. I know what he advocated so I hope I got it right.

“splendid little war” - yay! i got that right! I was worried because a friend said it was because of all the national support…

Enlightenment - I think the answer I chose mentioned something about reason and logic…

MLK quote - i’m pretty sure I got that wrong oh well.

1st great awakening - im not sure what i answered that one with.

Carnegie’s essay - ah, I made that mistake.

New Deal - yay! :D

Haha.

Does anyone remember any more? I know its been a few days…

I’m all questioned out. I think we covered the majority of the questions that were at all confusing. I’ll pray that we all get high 700’s or 800’s! = )
I already got 720, but was so disappointed I took it again, I’m hoping for 770+. How about the rest of y’all? Any target scores you’re intending to meet this go around?

I got under 600 last time (HORRIBLE, I know) and I’m really hoping for something in the 700s although I would not be upset if I got at leat over a 650. I’m good at History, I jsut suck at multiple choice which is unfortunate. :(

I still remember a few questions…

-Does anyone remember the answer for the shaded US map?

-How about the answer for that political cartoon of a KKK member at the tailor attempting to conceal his ideals…?

The shaded US map…I can’t remember what I put. One person posted earlier that they put democratic support, but idk. Was one of the choices railroads?
And the KKK one…was that an exception question? I remember it being easy though.

I’m pretty sure the KKK one asked to find the exception/wrong answer… I think I got it right but I just wanted to double check.

I think I put wheat for the map but I had absolutely no idea.

For the map, I had no idea, I just guessed, though I think I put it was the spread of African Americans. I chose at the last second. For me it was between that and the democratic party. But I couldn’t figure out what was significant about 1900, that the map was pertaining to.
As for the KKK cartoon, it was actually a cartoon of Wallace, when he was running for president. We’ll let the overcoat out all the way, and the robe will hardly show at all.
I think they asked about “Law and Order Talk” which was written on his robe and was one of his campaign terms, and the answer was something to do with how he was a racist trying to cover up his true loyalties. I don’t remember the exact answer choice though.

The map confused me as well.

I think that’s what I put as the answer for the cartoon. Something about concealing his true sentiments…
