December vs. January SAT (2015-2016)

I’ve taken the old test once now (October 2015), and I didn’t do too well on it, and I was already planing on taking the old test one more time this December before I take the new one in March. However, now I’m being told that the January test will be the easiest, and that I should take it instead of the December one. Any thoughts? Also, I already signed up for the December one a couple weeks ago, so is it possible for me to postpone it til January?

This is patent nonsense and representative of one of the most persistent BS rumors out there. Easier test have harsher curves, and–more importantly–there is no historical evidence for some months’ being predictably harder or easier than others. @bvibes

you have to pay extra money if u want to move your test date.
also you never know which month’s SAT is the easiest.
If you are well-prepared, you should just take December one.
Actually the deadline for January SAT registration is the day after December SAT score report comes out,
so if you think you can do better if you take it once more you will still have time to register for Jan SAT.
Good luck on your SAT btw! I am also taking the December SAT (:
