Deciding whether or not to go out of state.

I live in Texas, born here and raised here and I really haven't been outside of the state other than a couple bordering states (Oklahoma and Louisiana)

I have done some research and asked around regarding the degree I plan on getting and the career path I want to pursue and apparently Texas isn't the greatest place to be as far as job opportunities and the better employers are concerned. Average income is better in the northern/eastern states and the drop off seems to be pretty dramatic. I plan on getting my MHA or MPH, not decided yet but I love Texas and would rather stay here.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I would most likely attend Texas A&M if I do in fact stay in Texas.

*Average income is better in the northern/eastern states and the drop off seems to be pretty dramatic. *

That can be misleading. The income may be higher, but the cost of living in the NE can be a LOT higher as well.

That’s true, you can factor in that Texas has no state income tax as well.
