I just received an email from UNC about Decision Day. What is it and are we required to go? Do you have to pay for it and what do you do there?

Are you going?

I just received an email from UNC about Decision Day. What is it and are we required to go? Do you have to pay for it and what do you do there?

Are you going?

I’m going :)!!! From my understanding you get an overview of Carolina itself. You can ask questions to students who are apart of the diversity and multicultural program on campus, and just get a feel for UNC

I plan on going too. I just hope it’s nothing too similar to the summer programs that some students participated in, like Project Uplift.

I’m sure it will be somewhat similar given the fact that its ran by the same department

Darn. Well I guess I’ll consider it if I have no other plans on that day. Did any of you guys do Project Uplift last summer?

So the email said that we will be peer matched. Supposedly, that person will share his/her experience. Does that mean each student that attends this event will have their own Carolina student to ask questions to?

Also we get the opportunity to attend a class. Hopefully it’s a class in session, although I’m sure a bunch of random people coming into a classroom would be pretty disruptive.

I already signed up for Explore Carolina before I got the Decision Days invite… does anyone know how different Decision Days is? Should I do both?

I kind of think Decision Days is more individual oriented with a peer to speak with, but Explore Carolina is more build your own itinerary/independent?

I went to project uplift last summer and high school seniors day in September and those focus on diversity at unc so I need to go to this too or well it just be more of the same?
