I’m a current senior at Lville, Congrats to all new lawrentians!

Rejected. Oh well…

@muffinmiruku. What do you like best about the school? Any advice for an incoming 10th grader? Which" houses " do you recommend? Any input is appreciated.

High Five to aaralyn! So happy for you! It only takes one. :)

Accepted class of 2015! Still waiting to hear from Taft, Deerfield, and Andover!

There are so many accepted new sophomores on here!

Congratulations Helloel!!! UGH, I really wanted to meet some of you at Lawrenceville! Oh well…

Thank you! It’s alright, I’ve gotten wait-listed at one of my top schools.

Accepted for class of 2016.

Waitlisted to lawrenceville (2016)—chances?? Any suggestions to move process forward?

if youre waitlisted, you need to show the schools that you really want to go. send lawrenceville an email saying that you would like to stay on the waitlist, and how its your #1 choice (thats important). also, you should try to keep up communication, and have your school send them your most recent grades

neatoburrito - thank you! I really wish that were the case, but I don’t know. Because NJ is my home state and my friends’ parents have convinced my parents that Princeton High School is just as good as Lawrenceville and so far they have shown almost no interest in actually sending me I’ve tried to explain that the complete EXPERIENCE is different, but they think I just want to go party. Gah.

And LMMCBUCK, iAmMe77 gave good advice. But don’t get your hopes up - 5 waitlists last year, nothing happened. It doesn’t hurt to keep on trying though! :)

If your parents stay adamant, send them the college matriculation list. I know this is cheap but if I were you I would fight my way in! They don’t know just how fortunate you are to get accepted!

I am doing that research right now! Actually making a research report about the schools, that is how badly I want to be able to go. It’d be a shame and tragedy to put all that effort in and not be able to go to the one school I was accepted at… I really hope to see you there, by the way! :D

Same! I’m probably gonna ask every sophomore if they’re a CC’er :D. There seems to be so plenty accepted this year!

And good luck with convincing your parents! You may want to google “matriculation stats boarding school” and click on the site that will give you % of students matriculated in which schools etc. And I believe the site was made by a Lville grad too :D

Yeah, Lawrenceville seems to take a large portion of new sophomores! So far on my report I have matriculation stats, average SAT score, and student-teacher ratio. What else should I add, any suggestions?

Who here knows they are definitely attending L’ville?

Yes, definitely - if I can get my VISA, that is.

Hey congrats to all of you who have been accepted. To those on the wait list, keep your spirits up. To those who didn’t get the nod, I’m sure that you’ll end up at some other great school.

If any of you have questions, I am more than willing to answer them. Forgive me if I am slightly delayed in my responses though; it’s spring break right now and I’m traveling abroad.

So again, congrats and I hope to see y’all on revisit day.

^Thanks! Does L’ville take more sophomores than they do freshmen? Because I remember one school saying that and I could not remember if it was Lawrenceville. And also there seem to be a lot of accepted new sophomores on here.

The incoming new sophomores usually number around 50 students. The incoming freshman class is around 150 students. The acceptance numbers of sophomores to freshman is probably pretty close to the 1:3 ratio of matriculating students. Of course the absolute number of accepted students is higher than 50/150 due to yield considerations.
