Decision making time..help!

Ok, so financial aid isn't a HUGE issue, but i do have a bro that goes to NYU, so i know it's quite expensive.

These are my choices:
stony brook
st.bonaventure
union college
boston university
nyu

waitlisted:
villanova
case western
barnard

btw, im gonna do pre-med and major in chem. and i live in ny, so the stony brook tuition is really low.

i don’t know much about these universities for pre-med. but if i were to choose, it’d be Boston or NYU  haha

Net price at each school?

As a pre-med, you want to keep costs down to avoid debt and save money for expensive medical school.

As a chemistry major, you want to keep costs down to avoid debt because chemistry majors do not have good job and career prospects at the bachelor’s degree level. It is not required to major in chemistry or biology to do pre-med.

i know this major isn’t required. i’ll post the financial aid later, but i have a question. what EXACTLY is psychology? like if i were to major in it, i never took a psych course. but what do u advise that a student who wants to do pre-med should major in?

Since it’s pre-med where GPA and MCAT scores are the primary concern, I would suggest Stony Brook just to save money.

A pre-med should major in whatever s/he like and is good at (to get a good GPA) that allows fitting the pre-med courses around (which can be most liberal arts and science majors which leave plenty of elective space for non-overlapping pre-med courses).

Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior.

I really enjoyed AP Chem, but i think that’s different from what i’ll be experiencing at college. I don’t think I wanna go to Stony Brook. Money isn’t really a huge issue. So anyway, I did enjoy Chem and I was pretty good at it. I also think that it will be a major that will be easy to fill requirements for. Unlike something like history.
