I got waitlisted!!!

accepted....cool

Yes! Acceptance!

Choice between UNC and EMORY now

accepted! that was a rush

southerstudent, im in the same boat... what are you thinking and where do you live? im in georgia... and I have no idea what to do...

When does financial aid stuff become available? Anyone know? I'm prolly going either way, but I hope I'm not gonna have to leave with obscene debts.

accepted!!!!

I GOT IN OMG IM SO EXCITED. i got waitlisted from washu and unc. i also just got rejected from uva, so this feels amazing!!!!!!! now to decide between emory (expensive) or ut business (much cheaper lol), but if money were no factor, emory all the way.

wiatlisted...wow did no one get rejected?

accepted :) i was so worried only having waitlists.. cornell wash jhu .......... now i actually have somewhere to go ! !

waitlisted.

can you tell me how i was selected as one of vanderbilt university's top 200 yet got waitlisted at emory? i know a big thing for them is demonstrated interest, should i visit campus? send a cover letter? i'm honestly so surprised.

i honestly think they draw names out of a hat. that is very odd though

I think they do look at interest so maybe that would help, can't hurt! I was a little surprised too. I visited, had my national merit commended thing sent to them and Vanderbilt last year (I thought maybe that showed interest since I had to choose 2 schools) and I thought wrote a good why essay, but guess not lol. Waitlisted... got into Wellesley, Vanderbilt, Tufts, and UVA in the past few days. Ironically, I was expecting maybe Emory and none of the others lol, life is funny like that I guess. =/ Congrats to everyone who got in!!!

haha wow i got rejected from uva and accepted into emory. funny how things work

accepted!

hey SouthernStudent & cbdurham - i have the same dilemma, choosing between emory and unc-ch. i am from nyc and have never visited the schools. i may have to visit, but based on what you guys know, how is one compared to the other in terms of general education (no major really specified), campus life, student body, gen. atmosphere, resources, reputation, etc.

Yeah, miss independent, I kinda felt the same way about Emory over the others; congrats on your acceptances by the way. I'm debating whether to accept a position on the WL or to cut my losses and head to Vandy.
