I got my decision today...

i totally f***ed up my essays. i really regret it now.

Did you guys get it by e-mail or regular post? And if they did post it wha was the postmark date?

Decisions came in the regular mail and were postmarked on March 23rd.

They had over 2500 applications for 185 spots, about 7%.

"They had over 2500 applications for 185 spots, about 7%."

Well, although I would like to say the acceptance rate is 7%, it is 28%. You are correct, however, in that only 7% of people who apply to Mudd will end up enrolling.

Mudd's yield is fairly low (~28%). This is in part because many people who apply to HMC also apply to Stanford, MIT, Caltech and the Ivies. The acceptance overlap between these top schools puts Mudd in a hard spot since it has not built its "common prestige" like the aforementioned schools. Even if Mudd is a very amazing school and you like it a lot, wouldn't it be hard to turn down an acceptance from MIT or Harvard JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE MIT AND HARVARD?

Many people say they want to be Mudd... Only a few prove it.

ummm...do they e-mail it or something?? the decisions?? because i havent got it, but that might be because i am from Pakistan :D

oh the irony...two minutes after i made the post, i get a e-mail de rejection from HMC :(

Jaw, I wish you the best wherever you end up - I'm sure it will work out!
