"Admitted students have access to the exclusive Admitted Student Website."

Judging from that quote, I'm under the impression that if you can click the website, then you've been admitted.

When I click the link, I get a very large picture and a "CONGRATULATIONS" + acceptance letter. I think it would be a little weird if they made that link available to everybody...

people received notification on the ISIS site? then whny does it say...:

Your Admission Decision: All admission decisions are sent via postal
mail. Admission decisions will not be displayed on this page, however your Application Status (below) will indicate when a decision has been reached and when you can expect your notification to be sent.

No, nobody received notification -- they're just assuming that it means they're in. I doubt that it's any indication of anything, and instead believe that everybody has that link. It's right above where it says "YOUR ADMISSION DECISION".

It says:

I am pretty sure anyone can go to that website, though, regardless of whether or not they got in.

I THINK i'm in.... it says i have access to the admitted students site and when i click on it it says "CONGRATULATIONS!" in big red letters. I hope it's not some comptuer glitch cuz i'm pretty happy right now ! it feels to good to see an acceptance after my waitlist at Smith! yaya.. now i just need official confirmation

People are assuming that because they can access the link for admitted students, that they have been accepted. But that link can be assessed by anybody, it is not on the secure ISIS server--its just another html page on the MtHolyoke website. If you type it in from your Browser, you can access it.

I, too, would like to think it means acceptance for my D, but they probably just didn't think through the fact that it could cause confusion and consternation.

Probably best to wait for official notification. And if I am wrong about that, then hey--we'll be happy here on the West Coast.

i'm sorry Paris, i'm still only cautiously optimistic about this admitted students site. I'd still like to know more. It's kinda strange of them to initially say they are NOT going to post decisions online and then put up this admissions site before even mailing a letter...

how long has the admitted students site been up there? Anybody who logs in often know? I haven't logged into ISIS for at least a month now, so i'm thinking that maybe if it's been up for a while now, then it means nothing, they're just preparing, but if it was just put up today, then it could definitely mean something, as they are supposed to mail out decision letters today anyway

hmmm i was just fooling around w/ the "accepted students websites" and i filled out the form and submitted their application for an "accepted students overnight" and it actually PROCESSED and gave me a CONFORMATION NUMBER.

MHC isn't very strict w/ their website..it doesn't seem to be secure at all. I basically just rejestered for an accepted students overnight and i didn't even get the accepted students link in my ISIS page!

( obviously i won't really be going but still... how awkward)

Hmmm, so is the admitted students link posted on everyone's isis page? I saw it on mine, but I don't know if that necesarily affirms admission. It looks like, if I'm admitted, I'll be in MA a while, for Smith's, then MHC's, then Wellesley's open campuses!

My D was accepted according to the website mentioned. She is quite elated. I have no doubt that the website for Admitted Students is secure. All they have to do is restrict admittance to those userIDs and passwords that have been admitted. That is a common thing for restricted sites. If they had not done that, the error would have been grievous and i simply can't see them making that kind of error. This sentence,

"Your Admission Decision: All admission decisions are sent via postal mail. Admission decisions will not be displayed on this page, however your Application Status (below) will indicate when a decision has been reached and when you can expect your notification to be sent."

simply states that this particular page will not indicate your status. You actually have to go to another page to find that out.

"Admitted Student Website: Admitted students have access to the exclusive Admitted Student Website. This special area will provide all sorts of valuable information to incoming Mount Holyoke students. Click here now!"

Also. once the mailing has taken place, they can begin to authorize successful RD applicants, which is basically what they did. So whether you have received anything in the mail or not is not crucial.

So if you can access the Admitted Student page, relax, you're in! My D is now 6 for 6 with 5 to go. She is getting quite concerned about having to make a decision. MHC is right up there, though.

what if you can access the site and register for the open house but you did NOT have, "Admitted Student Website: Admitted students have access to the exclusive Admitted Student Website. This special area will provide all sorts of valuable information to incoming Mount Holyoke students. Click here now!" written on ur ISIS page? This is what happened to me.

I know it means I most likely didn't get in, but the website seems very insecure if this was allowed for me.
