thank god...now i dont even wanna go to track practice...just go home and wait....

Same thing happened last year so try not to read anything into it.

I just got my acceptance in the mail and I'm so excited.

DS still gets the "we haven't made a decision" online, but the acceptance/Honors package came in the mail this afternoon. It was possible to access online for about 15 minutes this AM, and then it was gone.

Postmark was yesterday.

DECISIONS ONLINE!

still "we havent made a decision" for me.

Accepted!
also got into
University Honors Program, Gemstone, and Honors Humanities
Hopefully this bodes well for scholarships?

For those who have been accepted does the link also show whether or not you recieved admission to your particular college. I applied to the College of Journalism and it says that I have been admitted to the University but it says nothing about the College of Journalism. Is this information only provided in whatever they mail you?

For those who can't log on...check your email, we just received the congrats letter, it does not state anything more than that

S from Maryland

how do we know if we were accepted to our specific major?

My son's says:

Congratulations, ______!

You have been admitted to the University of Maryland for the Fall 2008 semester!

We are pleased to welcome you to one of the nation's finest research universities.

In addition, you have been invited to University Honors Program

:D

I wonder if notification regarding acceptance into an LEP (like Journalism - that's where my son applied) comes in the mail? Anyone know?

Yea, ditto that question about LEP majors ^^^

When S was admitted to an LEP last year, the only place it was indicated was in the upper right corner of the "Maryland Planner" he received in the mail where it says "College." His scholarship offer was dated March 15th. Hope this helps.

Thanks worrywart, that helps. I like your username - we are kindred spirits. ;)

Just making sure - since I was admitted for Spring, I'm not required to send midyear grades, correct?

so I'm guessing that's a no in I dont have to send them?

I think they would let you know if you needed to send them. Did you receive a packet in the mail yet? That might tell you.

Accepted for Fall 2008. I'm OOS. This was rather surprising... :)
