<p>My D got into Scholars but not Honors. Does anyone know if you can only get accepted to one or the other and not both? Also, did anyone get notified about scholarship?</p>
<p>^No, I was wondering about that too. I was accepted into the Honors program but not the Scholars/Gemstone apparently. There was no notification about scholarships either. Did anyone get a scholarship offer?</p>
<p>S is a freshman this year in the Scholars program. Yes, you can only participate in either Scholars or Honors, not both. Yes, scholars are placed in the same dorm room with someone else in the same program. The other residents on your floor are also in the same program. Scholarship notifications arrive weeks later. In S's case, it was completely unexpected and very generous. Congrats to all who have received good news.</p>
<p>I was denied this morning, and now they haven't reached a decision. I don't even know what to think haha</p>

<p>At the UMD love-fest held in late Spetember, the admissions folks said they try to offer the top 25% of the class some sort of merit $$. Don't know if that will still hold with statewide budget cuts, but UMD is known for being nice w/merit $$.</p>
<p>Info on merit $$ and interviews for some of the scholarships comes later.</p>

<p>NO...DS came home and logged in (I sent a text at @ 11 saying go terps) he got the same answer.</p>
<p>I already knew he was accepted for scholars and we had scholarship questions...they got on the line and said we have you as a scholar...here are the visitation weekends.</p>
<p>Don't give up, I think the site is just being overloaded and that is their default</p>
<p>It does not mean that you were rejected. The decisions were only up for a few hours this morning and apparently they have now closed down the link. </p>
<p>This morning the link said that I was accepted but now when I click on it the same message you are getting comes up. </p>
<p>I guess they did not want to put the decisions online yet.</p>
