Decisions on March 9?

When the e-mail was sent, yesterday was today, so it was Wednesday. However, if they’re still finalizing decisions I’m doubtful that they’ll be out by friday.

Good luck to everyone. Last year at this time we were in this position. The day decisions came out, my daughter hadn’t been expecting it, but she decided to check the decisions portal late that night when she was on the computer anyway. When she got the good news, I was already asleep, but she came in and woke me up. That’s one time I didn’t mind having my sleep interrupted!

I’m going to repeat now what you have probably heard from many others: No matter what happens, you will be in college next year and it will all work out. WashU was not originally my daughter’s first choice. She was waitlisted and then rejected at that other school, and for a while she was really unhappy about that. But now that she has spent a semester and a half a WashU, she says that she is glad that she wasn’t accepted at the other school, because she loves it so much at WashU and it now seems like the perfect place for her. I think that kind of experience happens to lots of kids at lots of schools around the country. Once you end up at the school you attend, even if it’s different than the one you originally dreamed about, all the admissions $%#* goes out the window. So even if WashU is your dream school and you don’t get the news you hope for, if you embrace the school that you attend, taking advantage of all it has to offer, you will have an amazing college experience.

“Finalizing decisions” doesn’t necessarily mean that the committee is still meeting, I think it means that they are organizing the material to send the decisions off. Friday seems like a very probable date, but today is doubtful.

we’ll find out more when WongTongTong makes that phone call. ^But I agree, Friday is probably the most likely day.

since I don’t feel like looking up the number in school can someone god me there undergrad number?

•give, stupid autocorrect.

(800) 638-0700 or (314) 935-6000

I just called. I was told by the person who answered the phone in undergraduate admissions that decisions will NOT be released today. (I asked her point blank – can you tell me for sure whether they’ll be released today or not? And she said… NOT today.) But I’m curious what answer you’ll get, WongTT…

Y is everyone spazzing out? Just think that all colleges are coming out on April 1 and time will go by quickly

Oh, come on. I don’t think I have a single college that ACTUALLY releases decisions on the 1st. And once you know that, it’s not like you can ignore it!

Hey - i was fed up with all of the “will it be today? will it be tomorrow” talk so I went and flat-out asked my college counselor when it would be. she said that international students (like myself) would definitely be finding out early next week and specifically hinted to check on the portal/my email on monday. although she mentioned international students i don’t think wustl has a history of posting decisions on different days, so looks like around monday is the best guess.

i’m annoyed that it wasn’t this week but at least we know it’s soon and not april 1st!

My pathway is down? Anyone Else’s?? I cannot log on!?

Edit: @ isaprilsoon how would your college counselor know?

mine too … mean anything???

Mine too! oh please oh please oh please

I’m getting a server error. I have absolutely no idea whether this could mean anything.

Pllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Let this be it!!!

Please!!

That is all.

Any techie savy people here? Does the server error imply that Wash U is updating their site?

I’m with kimmy. Dying here

Don’t be too sensitive guys-maybe the server is just overloaded

Tech savvy person here.

It could mean a number of things. Most likely, there is a server hick-up, a computer turned off or a cable fell out. 70% chance that it is just a technical mishap.

30% chance that they are updating their website and messed up a bit on the code, which leads to this server error.

Updating their website MIGHT mean they are posting their decisions up, or it might not. They might also be UPLOADING the decisions, but won’t release them (by letting us see them) until a certain date and time.

The chances that this is the calm before the storm, that we are gonna get our decisions when it comes back up are slim, I say around 10%.
