Decisions on March 9?

I never took a computer science class…but I can this mean something?:
WUSTL.SharePoint.UAAppStatus.DBUtilities.FillContentData(String type, String indno, String form_id) +458
WUSTL.SharePoint.UAAppStatus.User.InitializeContentData(String type) +28

The “UAAppStatus” sounds promising.

Yes, it is basically an item that they are uploading - however, it might also just be that message we all got “Your application is complete”

Status could mean whether it is complete or not.

Repost of what I said before:

Tech savvy person here.

It could mean a number of things. Most likely, there is a server hick-up, a computer turned off or a cable fell out. 70% chance that it is just a technical mishap.

30% chance that they are updating their website and messed up a bit on the code, which leads to this server error.

Updating their website MIGHT mean they are posting their decisions up, or it might not. They might also be UPLOADING the decisions, but won’t release them (by letting us see them) until a certain date and time.

The chances that this is the calm before the storm, that we are gonna get our decisions when it comes back up are slim, I say around 10%.

OH well I guess not. I just got in and everything is as it was before. come back often (although I don’t think that they mean as often as we visit) LOL

Well that’s just great–it turned out to be nothing.

well it gave us a few minutes of excitement!

@ kimathi:

IDK how she knew, she just pulled a copy of an email out of a folder she had in her desk, skimmed over it, and then said it would be next week, prob Monday

It might have been them uploading all the decisions. I assume that it’s a lot of decisions and that they need to upload them to their servers. Also, they need to have the new framework and website outlay for the time they actually release decisions

Now they can just press a button and all the decisions pop up. This server hick up might have meant that they were uploading the decisions.

They just needed time to set up how the website would look when they choose to release decisions.

^ Does that mean we can hope for tomorrow then?

Means you can hope for any time. We are all merely speculating.

I’d rather it be sooner than later, but the honest answer is that they can post them anytime. Today’s glitch in the server may have meant something, or may have not.

If you guys want to obsess over the glitch, what we need to figure out is if a similar one happened in previous years and when it happened in respect to the release of decisions.

Just called, she said (verbatim):

“They haven’t given us a release date yet, it will be on or before April 1st”

King of interesting how different people give different answers to the same question…

I called on the day early decision was released and they said it was not going to be that day, and not until December 15th, but they came out that night.

if you look at last years forum they said the same thing right up to the time they released the decisions???

Thanks for calling, Wong. I will volunteer to call again tomorrow and see if I get the same answer!

beachmom59 - maybe you won’t need to because they’ll release them today?!

Beachmom, I was actually planning on calling within a couple of minutes hoping another person would pick up, but I figured it would be awkward if the same person picked up again. Although, I guess I could have changed my voice, but that requires too much work. 2nd Semester Senior \m/

Anyway, after surfing through the 2013 and 2014 RD Wait threads, I think decisions will be out today, but again, that’s just speculation. I would be surprised if they weren’t out before the weekend, however.

You would think this is the United States in the early 20th century with all this speculation going on…

Actually, I hope they release decisions today, so I can call again tomorrow asking the same question, and I guarantee you that she will still say “They haven’t given us a release date yet, it will be on or before April 1st”. Point being the people who answer the phone don’t know $|-|I T.

@Lannister, why would they have an update to say your “admission decisions are complete”? Mine already said that like a week ago.

That would be great. Can I ask what you found in those threads that leads you to that conclusion?

Nobody said they were updating anything with that glitch. I’m saying that AppStatus item could have simply been the “admissions decisions are complete.” Like when you first log onto pathway, that is the first message you see. Therefore, even if the server glitched a bit, it was the first thing you saw, except it was the item name rather than the actual item. I hope this makes sense.

What I’m saying is that we don’t know what the label stands for. Maybe it’s our decisions, maybe its the “decisions are complete.” It’s total guesswork and speculation.

Here’s last year’s wait thread:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/washington-university-st-louis/871264-official-waiting-room-12.html?highlight=waiting+room</a></p>

It’s true that last year someone reported calling the admissions office on the DAY they notified, and was told they did not know when decisions would be released. (However they were not told specifically that it would NOT be that day.)
