Pyar has the same adcom as me I think, Beth Downing.
He got his and I dindn't get mine. ??????.....................

So once the regional rep. reads the app, is the application ever used again? (Since the regional rep. writes everything down onto a card and uses it when they make decisions).

yea my representative is the same as pyars also and i have not recieved my pin code in the mail. no one from my school has.

Good luck to everyone who is applying to U Penn!

-Someone who's applying to Yale- 12/15 4:30 PM =/.

Then maybe all the auto admits received their PIN. Wharton411 said maybe the auto rejects received their PIN. I would have to dispute that since Wharton411 once said his stats are sub-par. Wharton411 has not received his PIN yet. Someone with sub-par stats would not be an auto-admit, but could be an auto-reject.So perhaps the PIN's went to the auto-admits.

That's true, but I got my pin through the online method. I have yet to receive the paper. Which would not make any sense at all then.

I really doubt they would've sent pins in terms of rejects/admits. Everyone's going to get a pin anyway, and why would they send some pins earlier? Because it amuses them?

Actually I haven't gotten mine and it's making me nervous reading this thread so guys, please just stop analyzing it.

stop overanalysing this guys. no use, whatsoever

maybe the auto admits got their letter already =P

Yeah, for serious, I'm sure they wouldn't have sent them out based on likely accept/rej... Plus, paro is probs one of the most likely acceptances, but hasn't gotten the pin yet.

The people who took NOV SATs and SAT IIs get their scores on Tuesday and it takes two days for them to reach the school rushed so that would be 1st of Dec. When I contacted a person in their records office what they basically told me was that the Nov SAT IIs are used for the final review. So, it will make sense if the regional reps start reading the applications next week and begin the final reading process starting the week of Dec 4th.

If it is true that "auto admits" get their PIN now, the letter will be sent to the people who took NOV SATs about a week from now.

So who has taken a NOV SAT II or SAT AND received the letter as well?

And Beth Downing?

Do you mean Elizabeth Dowling... ?

^^^^ Please Be An Adcom In Disguise Please Please Please

And here is a discussion from last year:

The people who have taken NOV SATs/SAT IIs haven't even been reviewed yet and yet they have received their PINs last year.

So briefly: doesn't mean jack in terms of decisions.

Oh yea, and one of them who got it early was also rejected. That kinda disapproves this notion as well hehe.

I live about 45 min away from Penn in Philly and I haven't received my letter yet! arghhhhghhghgh

Beth is the name she prefers. But anyways maybe the ad cons send letters to the people that that they feel are auto rejects and dont want to make that applicants case in front of the board because they just dont have enough time. Its just like the previous article posted from the Christian Science Monitor. But then again all it is an online decision key which can be obtained by absolutely everyone on Penns website.

Sorry to break the trend, guys. I'm just a Jr. in HS, but I would just like to say: MY BEST WISHES AND GOOD LUCK to all you Penn EDers!

Thanks kevster1001. And PennHunter, I really doubt that's the case. Many of the people who have received their letters are very qualified, and in no way "auto rejects"...Everybody needs to stop reading so much into this, it probably isn't based on much.

I haven't yet received my letter, so my defense of those who have received them isn't just wishful thinking on my part.

Im sure your correct thats why I said,
"But then again all it is an online decision key which can be obtained by absolutely everyone on Penns website."
We will all get letter eventually Im sure It just depends on the speed of the mail and how faist the students working in the admission office can stuff those envelopes.=)

I want too meet you jyankeess2 if we get admited. What school are you applying to?
