MTMC - Hmmmm
I just re-read the e-mail. Ms. Doyle wrote that the letter from the department will have the Merit & Talent scholarship info and there will also be a general admission acceptance letter with scholarship info. Was your son’s letter from the department?

Waiting alongside @ MTMajorCook…letter of acceptance from University and general information…but no enclosure regarding FA. Will be following under separate cover.

Sorry its from the University.

Hopefully the letter with scholarship info is soon to follow. Ms. Doyle wrote it was mailed yesterday. What is the cancellation date on the envelope you received?

Those of you whose kids got in, did they audition at Unifieds or on campus? just curious…

The letter is dated 3/17 and its post marked 3/18, we are in Pittsburgh PA. This is definitely the academic acceptance only because there is a page that refers us to Elizabeth to help set up the audition, it also says in the “whats next” information that merit and academic aide will be arriving soon.

S auditioned on campus 2/1 for MT with concentration in dance and that’s what he was accepted to.

D also auditioned on campus on 3/1 (the last day they held auditions) for MT with concentration in dance and was accepted into that program. (Our letter from Otterbein received today was the same “general info” as @MTMajorCook. )

I would guess the information we are waiting for will arrive to you tomorrow, Yay!!
Son auditioned for MT, was accepted for BFA Acting. As I told Times3 in a PM,
they probably could tell my son was not a dancer, lol
He auditioned at the Chicago Unifieds and is thrilled with the BFA Acting decision.

^And as I’m sure you and your son have been told a billion times by now, he can be dancing every day if he’s at Otterbein next year, singing as much as he wants (my son LOVES the group voice class he’s in now, btw!) and able to do as much MT as suits him, as far as I can tell, entertainersmom! Plus: sophomore acting majors do stage combat–I don’t know about yours, but this is a big deal for my boy–he wants to get certified and soak up as much as he can. He also really liked the placement of directing and acting-for-camera in the course sequence. Meantime…he’s also searching for ballet classes here at home for this summer. Didn’t really see that coming, but I’ll take it! :)

Has anyone heard about wait lists? Were they called or are the notifications going out by mail. I though I saw mail but its has all gotten so confusing… if they were sent out by mail, does anyone know when they went out? This is one of our last pieces of the puzzle (not including FA). Thanx!

Times3- Son asked your son about classes and is reassured that he may continue singing and dancing! Son is also excited about the stage combat and the acting for camera. It is like a whole new world of opportunity has opened up for him!

NAtlantaStudio - e-mail Elizabeth Doyle. She responded very promptly to my email to her this past Wednesday. It was a relief to know when to expect mail/information.

@NAtlantaStudio - I’ve only heard of one waitlist, it is for acting. She auditioned on campus for acting on 3/1, she received the waitlist letter I think Monday but that’s all I know of so far.

No mail today

Rats MTMC! It will take longer than I hoped. I would have liked to be able to make plans for visits.

MTMajorCook, has the waitlisted girl you know been in touch with some of the current students? Evan has been talking to somebody (maybe Josh703 was the connection?), a girl, who’s on the w/l. I don’t think he’s heard of any others either… My impression is that most years, kids do get in from the waitlist, but they are waitlisted for specific “positions” (types or whatever).

Forgot a MT girl received a wait list letter on Tuesday, but she is also accepted to 420 other programs LOL

I took your advice and talked with E. Doyle. I was told that all letters were sent out and everyone should have their letters by Monday. The waitlist letters and the “no’s” did not go out at the same time.

Fingers crossed!

So as I read you your message NAtlantaStudio. You said the waitlist and nos DO NOT GO OUT AT THE SAME TIME. If kids got waitlist letters this past Tuesday then that means all the nos will be recieved this coming Monday. Or am I misunderstanding your sentence? Oh well.

Ugh!
